| #1cloerNov 26, 2008 13:24:42 | IF a melee or sneaky character character decides to go into the realm of magic (divine or arcane) and is already 4-6 levels into his own class will he be broken? im not asking if a level 5/15 figther/wizard will beat a lvl. 20 wizard (thats obious) i mean will the lack of specialisation cripple him adveture wise at around lvl 10??? Thanks |

He will never be as powerful as a caster with more caster levels, but you can certainly make a decent self-buffing character out of him, and the spells can also offer some versatility. Just make sure that you have an idea of theme for what the character is going to be good at, and stick to it. If you have a crappy BAB and crappy spells, you're probably not going to be good at fighting. |

Full BAB combination 6/Suel Arcanamach 4/Abjurant Champion 5/Spellsword 1/Whatever you want 4 is a decent and basic "gish-lite" idea. |

The latter has Spellcraft as class skill and gives Combat Casting @ 2nd lvl. For the last 4lvls I’d recommend Dragon Disciple to increase daily use of spells. |

I like Paladin 3/Warblade 3 as the intro, Sacred Exorcist 1(or Divine Oracle 1)/Human Paragon 3 as the ending. Just hope you're not treading into Epic with it. I dub thee, Sir Buffsalot. |

If you’re willing to expend a feat, Keeper of Forbidden Lore [FC1] let to you have Spellcraft as class skill for any class. |
| #9feloniouselaNov 26, 2008 22:15:55 | My favorite entry into SuArc is actually Duskblade 3/Fighter 2/Lion Totem Barbarian 1 Go Illumian with Aeshkrau. Get the Cityscape variants for both Barbarian and Fighter that make Tumble a class skill. Pounce and extra feats leads to a very nice charger, especially when you can buff yourself with spells like greater magic weapon, greater mighty wallop, greater enlarge person, heroics, etc. etc. My favorite weapon has to be a Staff of Power where your smites are fueled with Duskblade spells...take a few twf feats, charge, pounce, power attack with wraithstrike if you want...there is fun to be had with only 5 levels of casting! Tana San: Dragon Disciple is an AWESOME way to end it, especially if you are Illumian with Aeshkrau. Strength based bonus spells on a character that easily ends up with 30+ strength on a daily basis is....tasty. |
