Hey guys' girls and all others

I've been a long time lurker on this boards and i think this is my second post ever but i would like your opinions on this concept;

background:

A friend of mine who is Dmíng a a party in 3.5 asked me to come up with an overpowered necro to do some dammage (if u ask me he is p. o. because the party slaughters everyhing he trows at them even young dragons..)

Party make up is something like this;

(APL 3!!)

hexblade
bard
wizzard
rouge
rouger
sorc

NPC;

2 lv 3 rangers
1 lv 7 "cohort" who isnt doing actually anything usefull

the idea is that soon i will extort them for a lesser artifact or else they are gonna face my small army of zombies /skeletons

build:

Human
5 levels cleric; domains death and undeath
1 level zombie master (obscure pc class that gives me another increase in the max hd that i can controll)

feats; (got 2 extra due to LA system my DM uses)
corpscrafter
destructive retribution (exploding zombies! WOOO!)

tomb tainted soul
MM extend
DMM persist ( no we dont use eratta
extra turning

i also have sort of spell stiched ability that allowes me to cast animate death without material components 1/day

Note worty items;

robe of bones dmg 265
Lesser artifact #2 gives me another cap on controlling undeath

so if i am correct i can controll my HD (6) times 7= (normal 4+ undeath domain, +lesser artifact #2 +zombie master stacking is aproved by DM ) = 42 HD not counting the amount i can controll trough rebuking

Availible books;

Anything wizzards published ; i dont have good acces to the complete's (xcept divine ) but i can get my hands on almost all the other books.

Plan

my plan is to turn invissible with a UMD' scroll and let my undeath do the work, when the get killed the dammage the party and heal themselfes..

i dont really know what i should persist, since i dont want to go in battle personally.. maybe even an owls wisdom :P

What do u think of this build? i know it is highpowered. but that is the purpose, this party is freakingly efficient, and slaughters anything the ever saw. So this is suposed to be a big long enduring boss battle;

Build looks strong. Party is ECL 3 and you're using an ECL 6 creature, likely using a full 42 HD of zombies.

It depends on the specifics of the PC party, but it seems like you could run over them. They have no Cleric for either turning or DMM themselves. Make sure to get a healthy mix of several types of undead to take on the party.

If we're going overboard, may I recommend you take as many flaws as you are allowed? Necromancers and similar builds hunger for feats with a ridiculous fervor.
Also a ring of blink is basically always on my list of stuff-for-casters. If they don't bring see invisible, and no one ever does, they have at best a 50% chance of actually hitting you.

I don't see them on your list, but just in case you were considering it, I highly recommend NOT under almost any circumstances, using Shadows. CR 3 is a gross undercon for the amount of damage they can do to a party. If you don't have at least one player focused on crushing undead in your party, they can potentially put a hurting (in small groups) on even 9th and 10th level parties.

Oh god, so true. Anything incorporeal can cause a tpk early on. Don't use ghosts either. Dying of old age at level three is a bad way to go. If you were feeling cruel, you might consider hurling fear effects at them. This early, it's impossible to make the saves for a well constructed fear effect, since DCs often range into the 20-24 range, and they're level three.

Well, a dwarven monk I know has some pretty good saves at level 3. Good con and wis, though his dex is in the pits. I mean, 24 will still be ridiculously hard, but do-able.

thanks for the input!

I wont be taken flaws, the DM (and i) dont use them,
and i also wont use ghosts and other incorporal undead becouse that would be a certified TPK.

However i'd like the fear idea, the concept of this encounter is that i want wat they have and if the one who holds it is shivering with fear it would make it a lot easier :D
