So, would anyone like to make a build using this tactic? I'm pulling inspiration for this idea from this thread and a character I used to play, which I talked about in said thread. I have absolutely no experience creating builds, but I want to see what would be good for this strategy.

The build should focus on dealing immense damage in the first round of battle through the use of the Leap Attack feat with a two-handed weapon, then probably tanking for the rest of the encounter.

Massive damage charger builds are very common on here, and Leap Attack is in many of them. Typically, you need a way to max out your power attack penalty and still hit stuff to really get the most out of it. Two common ways of doing this are the spell Wraithstrike and the feat Shock Trooper.

A way to pounce (make a full attack) on a charge is also almost mandatory. A single level of barbarian can get you that (Complete Champion substitution level), as can several other things like Warmind or Psychic Warrior levels. Warmind also lets your attacks hit adjacent foes, which is especially devestating with this kind of build.

Search this forum (or the Handy Links thread at the top of it) for "dragoon" and you should find several threads related to this.

Possibly the definitive treatment of the subject.
