In the campaign that I am playing I am using the following character: Lestat De'Vir:
He is half vampire / illumian ( "Races of Destiny"), 6 hexblade/10 shadow sentinel ( "Races of Destiny"). Str 29, Dex 20, Con 24, Int 14, Wis 14, Cha 26. Feats: leadrship, exotic weapon focus (katana), fight without weapon
I wanted to find some skill or some class to make it stronger. This character drain blood enemies. At epic level wanted it to become a lycanthrope . Do you have advice for me to make it unbeatable? Sorry for the bad English. Thanks

May I ask why are you picking Exotic weapon proficiency (katana)? Is is a prerequisite for Shadow Sentinel? If not, then I definitely recommend you to use a longsword and just reflavour it and describe it as a katana while keeping longswords mechanical stats.

He's a half-vampire/illuminian named after a wussy fictional vamp and with a drow last name.

Can a vampire even become a lycan? aren't the two like, mutually exclusive or something? And don't you have a huge LA with that kind of character? methinks you're shooting yourself, since lycanthrope would add, IIRC even more LA.

Wrong.

He's a half-vampire/illumian named after a wussy fictional vamp and with a drow last name, wielding a katana.

Amazing concept man... It must be the coolest thing since Jesus. And the lycan part and impossible stats are just icing on the cake. I am humbled by your creativity and taste, sir. Bravo.

As for making it unbeatable, I'd suggest giving him a divine rank (greater deity if possible), the Mineral Warrior template, and pack on another 20 levels of druid, and 10 of Planar Shepard. If you can retrain your existing levels to druid as well, and shuffle those stats a bit, even better. Add Aberration Blood/Inhuman Reach for style points and you're all set.

...Oh, and don't forget to house rule Craven to work with regular attacks while you're at it, that's nice too.

Come on you guys, stop bashing the new guy ;)
I know vampires, drow and katanas aren't usually met with good responces on the boards, but it's his first post, cut him some slack

Tompe: How about optimizing fear effects? Feats like Imperious command (Drow of the Underdark) and Never outnumbered skilltrick are good starting points and those levels of Hexblade synergize well with fear optimizing.

Forget the Lycanthrope idea--becoming a Lycan in Epic is the same as saying, "I don't want to level ever again."

For making yourself harder to kill, consider two levels in [url=http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm]Paladin of Tyranny or Paladin of Slaughter[/URD] for +8 to your saves.

Then 2 levels of Blackguard for another +8 to saves. You already have Mettle from Hexblade, so just pick up a Ring of Evasion and you will be 95% immune to anything that allow saving throws.

think about a dip into:

Marshall : base class, miniature's handbook, 1 level is enough, more would be good
Arcane Duelist : cool prestige class, 3 or 10 levels, it's here CLICK
Blackguard : prestige class, dungeon master's guide, 2 level deep
Monk : base class, player's handbook, 2 levels is ok, improved grapple and the feat Ascetic Mage ( you use your carisma instead of wisdom for the bonus armor class of the monk )

hey...

that character is awesome!
a vampire with an umbral katana!that's so cool!

ok,it's a little of mess,but it's ok...

i don't like lycantrope idea...it would be too many things in one and there's too much LA.keep on the hexblade and than take paladin of tyranny like skydragonknight says.

or

you could improve your strenght to be an implacaBLE blood sucker!i think that upgrading this ability is the best for your char.
