Hey All,
I am in an Eberron campaign setting utilizing Eberron books, core books, complete books (e.g complete warrior, divine, etc), PHB2, Spell Compendium (and possibly some other books but subject to DM approval).

I have a Cleric 2, Pal 3, Exorcist of the Silver Flame 10. Currently I am using a two handed falchion (imp crit) with power attack, divine might, extra smite, mark of sybris (sentinal-mind blank), practiced spell caster and imp sunder.
I have come to the realization that I do not get much use of the imp sunder (my intelligent weapon, while able to assume the form of any weapon cannot change its material type). As such, my dm will let me work my character a bit.

I was thinking of losing the Imp sunder, but with that i have options:

  • Combat Reflexes
  • Leadership
  • Combat Intuition
  • Awesome Smite - Tactical (complete champion p55)
  • Silver Smite

---
Sword & Board
  • Divine Shield (Add cha bonus as sacred bonus to shield. Lasts half char level)

Awesome smite sounds good (i use smite a lot), but going with the divine shield combo is pretty hot for the heavy shield armor bonus (2) and charisma bonus (7) giving me +9 to AC. But I lose a TON of damage. My character crits a lot and potentially can do (in 3 swings) over 100 damage a round.

So what are your thoughts? Stay two handed weapon style and do lots of damage (then what feat should i grab - awesome smite?) or go sword and board - and then what feat should i grab? Divine might/smite/power attack is a great combo for crits.

2-Handed Falchion: 2d4 + 9, +1d6Fire+ 2d6Holy+ 1d6Sacred
Crit = 4d4+18 +1d6 +2d6 + 1d6
Power attack = 2:1 ratio (not often used due to NPC AC
Divine might = +7 (+14 on crit)

1-handed Falchion: 1d6+6 dmg + 1d6 fire, +2d6 holy, +1d6 sacred
Crit = 2d6 + 12 + 1d6 +2d6 +1d6
Power attack = 1.5:1 ratio (not often used due to NPC AC)
Divine Might = +7 (+14 on crit)

Also, if I went one handed would it be worth it to grab a longsword and lose the Imp crit feat? And if I do what should I grab?

Below is my stat block:
Medium-size Male Human
Cleric2 Paladin3 Exorcist of the Silver Flame10
Hit Points: 125
Initiative: +3
Speed: Walk 20'
AC: 29 (flatfooted 28, touch 16)
Attacks:*Endless Blade +20/+15/+10; ;
Damage:*Endless Blade 2-handed Falchion 2d4 + 9, +1d6Fire +2d6Holy +1d6Sacred

Special Qualities:Divine Might +7 dmg, EOSF: Silver Flame Smite +7 atk, +15 dmg 2/day, EOSF: Smite Evil (Su) 3/day,
Saves: Fortitude: +28, Reflex: +20, Will: +27
Abilities: STR 20 (+5), DEX 16 (+3), CON 14 (+2), INT 16 (+3), WIS 16 (+3), CHA 25 (+7)
Feats: Divine Might, Extra Smiting, Improved Critical (Falchion), Improved Sunder, Mark of Sybris, Power Attack, Practiced Spellcaster (Cleric)

I don't believe you can have a Siberys Dragonmark without taking levels in Heir of Siberys.

For what its worth, the best defense is a good offense - the faster you kill your enemies, the fewer opportunities they'll have to hurt you.

The Sibrys mark is a house rule.

I do agree with the offense vs defense. However does the offense outweigh this defense?

What feat do you recommend since I have an open one.
