May 02, 2008 14:50:21 Hey my friend wants me to make 2 level 17 character, unlimited gold ( as long as "i am able to obtain the items" ) so pretty much anything, ( he isnt to bright) the LA doesnt matter ( as long as it doesnt pass 16 ) , and finally it is 32 pt build, and all books are open..

Yall think you can do it?

A rouge, minitaur barbarian/ frenzied berserker, and a abjuration wizard all level 15..

I was told to rip them apart, i guess i need something to counter these 3,

.. and i dont really know what i want

Ni Candles of Invocation, they're core. After that Commoner 17 is a viable build.

May 02, 2008 15:07:34 if your not limited to what books you can use do a google search of Pun-Pun. He is the strongest character ever made and is currently unbeaten by even the most powerful builds.

otherwise if you can only use the PHB DMG and monster manual check out this thread. it has many interesting ideas and should easily beat anyone limited to the same books who doesnt use its tricks.

May 02, 2008 15:22:15 Wizard 17 has no issues raping anything out of those. Just get him extra spell slots with those infinite items and you're just fine. Especially 9th level slots. And Freedom of Movement. Craft few Contingencies. A lot, really. Then rapify them. Need to beat a few levels lower Abjurer Wizard? Make Contingecies that trigger off you casting a spell and unleash a nova flurry. Also, Celerity. I hope you're taking on all 3 at once? Else it'll be boring.

I assume he banned infinite comboes?

Oh well, if you do decide to try it, go with a wizard. Make sure you get an item with the cunning property from weapons of legacy, so you can use celerity while flat footed. Then do whatever. Ice assassin? Sure, that seems overpowered. Gate in some stuff? Yeah, do that. It's not going to matter. Just bring in about a thousand scrolls of gate, time stop, and disjunction. Blast away his infinite wealth.

Maybe adding uickened maximized extended silent still twinned Maw of Chaos. That's only something like 5*20*39*2000 or 7 800 000gp

May 02, 2008 17:25:42 Level 17 Wizard (you can throw in a prestige class as long as it goesn't gimp your casting)

teamed up with a

Cleric 5, Paragnostic Apostle 1, Radiant Servant of Pelor 10, Contemplative 1 (the heal bot of doom, a personal favorite)

Your wizard can summon and out damage anything while in the comfort of no matter that damage your opponent can deal, you can heal with one spell easily. And if you can't heal it, just Revivify and then Heal.

*edit* Why am I helping? A high level duel is essentially a building challenge, so asking for help is cheating, right?
