Is it possible to use Leval Adjustment buyoff's with Monster Races?

(Monster Races are built similar to class levels.  It allows you to start at a fledgling 1st level monster race, slowly work your way through the Monster Class, until you reach the creatures full normal power.).

I'm wondering for potential build's.  If LA buyoff, and Monster Races could work together, then you could play a monster from level 1 up, and not be penalized by LA (and thus reach higher levels in casting classes for example before going epic level).

In theory, it should work, because if you can use LA buyoff for a regular monster, and a Monster Class ends up being a regular monster, than LA buyoff should work with Monster Classes.  But I'm not sure how to do it.

I suppose that after you complete the monster class you could simply switch the monster class levels to racial HD and LA then buy it off as normal.

3kreen provide a good example:

2 racial HD + 2 LA (in the normal one).
You can use the monster class progression for this.
You wouldn't be able to buy-off any of these, just yet.
Take 6 levels of classes.
You are now 2rhd + 6 hd + 2 la , and you can start buy-off.
You can't get rid of the racial hd ...
unless you go waayyy off the reservation with Savage Species.
You don't get rid of the class hd (excepting phb2 rebuilding).
From level 10, you play the Experience Is A River game,
and catch up say around 8 levels later.
If you can do the math, and it's not obviously easy, otherwise everyone would be doing it (wink);
2 R hd + 18 class levels = 20 levels

I was thinking something along those lines.  I can't see any reason why LA buyoff + monster class shouldn't be allowed, if the DM already allows LA buyoff.  It opens up a whole other line of play (from early level) without being unnecessarily penalized beyond the other LA buyoff characters in the group.  The mechanics of doing so, is what's throwing me (I'm not the most experienced in this particular area).

Thanks for the breakdown.  This helps.

This could open a lot of options for various players and character builds who want to start at low levels of play (I typically like to play/DM level 1 up).
