Personally - and this is just a houserule - a Baboon becoming a Magical Beast, with the 3d6 Int, and the minor 1d3 to Cha, Lowlight vision, but no scent, is OK-ish as a first level race. Magical Beast gives some polymorph possibilities. Ditch the +2 racial HD, and just play it from level 1. Scent by itself gets an LA+1. |
