#1 Endarire Nov 03, 2008 15:24:11	Assume I have 3 images and myself and my square is hit by a lightning bolt. I lack evasion and will take at least 1 point of damage. How many images disappear? What if I would normally take no damage because I passed my save and had evasion? What if I had enough energy resistance to fully negate the electricity damage? (Being a line, lightning bolt hits everything in squares it passes through, and any images made by mirror image are destroyed the instant they take damage.)
#2 snex Nov 03, 2008 15:29:56	the images are pretty much screwed when AOE damage spells hit. no saves, no SR, no evasion, no resistance, nothin. dont use mirror image vs casters.
#3 phaedrusxy Nov 03, 2008 15:42:22	None of them dissappear. This is right in the spell description: Any successful attack against an image destroys it. An image’s AC is 10 + your size modifier + your Dex modifier. Figments seem to react normally to area spells(such as looking like they’re burned or dead after being hit by a fireball). If Fireball doesn't "pop" them, neither will Lightning Bolt. You have to hit the figment with a targetted attack to destroy it.
#4 pithica Nov 04, 2008 7:20:35	What Phaedrus said. They react how you would react. If you're 'injured' by the lightning bolt, they look injured. If you're good enough to save, they look like they saved. If you resist damage of that type, so do they. If you're good enough to take no damage, dodging out of the way or have immunity, so do they.
