I was wondering if there is a limit on the amount of sneak/death attacks I can make in one round with two daggers, greater two-weapon fighting, and a dancing longsword and shortsword. I am a level 20 ECL, Rogue 3/Ranger 4/Assassin 7/Shadowdancer 6.

BTW, is it possible to hide/jump through another person's shadow?

Death attack is only once per 3 rounds, due to having to study. The only limit on sneak attacks is how many times you can attack in a round. And yeah, you can hide in someone else's shadow. Isn't that even mentioned in the Shadowdancer PrC?

Take more levels with sneak attack advancement? Are you limited to core only?

Swashbuckler 3 has full BAB and will give you weapon finesse for free, and +Int mod to damage. I'd consider dropping ranger entirely, and why so many levels of Shadowdancer? How about: Swashbuckler 3/Rogue 8/Assassin 9?

Can you use the variant sneak attack fighter? If so, stick a few levels of that in instead of some of the rogue levels, and drop the last assassin level.

I'm after a character who can sneak into a circle of foes, stab the leader to death without being seen, then jump away from them all

The character I posted can do that, and has more SA dice and does alot more damage. Get a Metamagic Rod of Quicken Spell to use a Quickened Dimension Door to get out of dodge after pincushioning your target. Shadowdancer is pretty useless, except as a 1 level dip for HiPS, and you get that from Assassin 8 without all the stupid prereqs, so...

With the books that you're allowed to use, I don't see how a DM can accuse you of min/maxing.

See if you can get access to a few additional books:
Assassin’s Dagger (DMG): +1 Death Attack DC
Ghost Strike weapon enchantment (MIC): Use vs Undeads/Incorporeals
Demolition Crystal (MIC): Use vs Constructs
Bracers of Murder (Drow of the Underdark): +2 Death Attack DC
Deathstrike Bracers (MIC): Used only vs Elementals/Ooze/Plants
Headband of Intellect +6 (DMG): Helps your Death Attack
Tome of Clear Thought +5 (DMG): Helps your Death Attack
Antimagic Torc (Underdark): Use against Fortification armor
