I am going to be makeing a human were-tiger Beguiler to play in a campaign I am currently in. This character will be level 7 to start out with (3 lvl's Savage Progression for were-tiger, 4 levels beguiler). This character will be having a twin (controlled by another player) who is of the same class, template, and race. Stats will be rolled with the roll 4, drop lowest rule (I'm not allowed to roll them yet) and there are seven attributes to be rolled (using appearance attribute from book of erotic fantasy, courtesy of my last bard). All 3.5 books are allowed, assuming they're from WOTC, very little third party is allowed. Side-note: it will be natural lycanthropy, not obtained via the diseased bite. Also I'm planning on dropping a bunch of skill points into Craft: Alchemy while the twin will be focusing on poisoncrafting.

What I am asking of the geniuses of these boards is; what are your feat, advanced learning, and equipment recommendations? I have already read the Beguiler's Handbook but would like some more recent output. I'm expecting these characters to last a while, so if you would be kind enough to come up with a long term level plan, I would appreciate it.

As for the campaign, it has the Forgotten Realms setting (including the character region rules) but it's not limited to items from that setting (another player had a warforged artificier for a while, but he got lost in a swamp and was never seen again). There is some heavy combat (we started fighting dragons at lvl 4) but it can be roleplayed around. If I'm interpreting the hints my DM has been dropping correctly, it will only be a few more sessions before we're out of heavy combat and into more social situations. The current terrain we are in is the jungle of Chult. More information available apon request. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm currently playing a Beguiler in a campaign, sadly not in FR. Since you're playing in FR I recommend taking Shadow Weave Magic and taking a level of Shadow Adept at  6th or 7th level to delay Advanced Learning so you can pick up Shadow Conjuration. Versatile Spellcaster is another great feat, especially once you start getting higher level spells. Advanced Learning spell for 3rd level should be Power Word Pain or Distract Assailant. If you want to deal some more damage if you're forced into melee combat alot, a level of Spellthief or Rogue and 2 levels of Unseen Seer will net you 2d6+1d6/3CL sneak attack with the spell Hunters Eye. Consider using this handbook instead: New Beguiler's Handbook (much better formatting). Conceal Spellcasting and Swift Concentration are must have Skill Tricks! Being a were-tiger Beguiler might prove tricky but with the right Illusion spells you could make your character look more menacing when in tiger form.
