My gaming group play old 3.5 LG mods and adhere strictly to the LGSC...we have just recently started our campaign over due to the crummyness of the characters we initially made...I've two different character builds I've been toying around with...I've looked around different CO boards and have found all sorts of crazy builds for Gishes and Dex fighters...but...all of them have been using sources or options that are not legal for LG..I would appreciate any help anyone could offer on these two builds: Keep in Mind that LG characters retire at ECL 16 Gish: Half Elf Fighter 1/Wizard 5/Spellsword 1/Bladesinger 1/Eldritch Knight 7 Feats were: Weapon Focus Longsword, Combat Expertise, Combat Casting, Practiced Spellcaster, Blade of force, Dodge, Arcane Strike, Improved Toughness, and Quicken Spell This one is tough as the 28 point buy really hurts here...especially with our group's rule of no cha below 10. I chose stats like these: Str: 14 Dex: 14 Con: 14 Int: 15 Wis :8 Cha: 10 Gish seems really tough without Abjurant Champion...which is waaaaay banned in LG...not even the mod authors were allowed to use it for NPCs or bad guys. The Next build I was contemplating was a dex based fighter that could get Strength + Dex + Int to damage...very defensive but some good damage at Higher levels against things that can be crit/snuck attack: Half Elf: Fighter 4/Knight 2/Swashbuckler 3/Champion of Corellon Larethian 4/xxxx 2 Feats: EWP Elven Thinblade, Weapon Focus Elven Thinblade, Combat Expertise, Dodge, Weapon Spec Elven Thinblade, Mounted Combat, Leadership, Weapon Finess, Mobility, Melee Weapon Mastery Slashing, Elusive Target, Improved Critical...and a 15th level feat. I was told that if I played this character...I would be taking Leadership to help our sometimes 4 player table live when our cleric runs the module. Stats: Str: 14 Dex:14 Con: 14 Int: 14 Wis: 8 (familiar no?) Cha: 12 Like I said...I'm abiding by LG's rules...any suggestions would be helpful. kfiend
