| #3CanineLordApr 17, 2009 2:38:13 | Very cool build. Don't suppose you'd want to put a citation/location note after each non-PhB feat so I can find them? ![]() Ducks PS And perhaps explain in more detail how the build works? |
| #4tshernApr 17, 2009 2:51:18 | Added sources. Anyways, the main gist is that anything moving while in the reach of the character in question automatically provokes an attack of opportunity, because of the Thicket of blades stance. The attack of opportunity can be used to stall the creature using Standstill or just for plain damage, but the former should be the main strategy. Mage slayer and Pierce magical protection make it easier or, rather, more feasible for the character to fight against spellcasters. The saves ought to be pretty decent, the character has Mettle and Evasion, flurry of blows as well as some nice powers from Warmind. This is pretty much the same thing, but it has some item suggestions too. |
| #5dr_rocktopusApr 17, 2009 3:11:34 | It is so shiny! If you can trip, you can abuse the ritiik if you find it worthwhile. Reqs EWP though ![]() |
| #6tshernApr 17, 2009 3:14:57 | Flaws haven't been used yet, so technically the character could have two extra feats. |
| #7dr_rocktopusApr 17, 2009 3:19:26 | Oooh! Ritiik is in frostburn, causes a trip attempt for free every time you hit someone, also gets stuck in for additional abusive silliness. I'm not sure it's perfectly useful, but I thought I'd mention it. |
| #8tshernApr 17, 2009 3:46:45 | Is it a reach weapon? |
| #9carnivoreApr 17, 2009 4:36:14 | Ritiik(Frost p76)2Hand, 1d8, 20 / x3 ,Piercing, 5 gp, 6 lbs, Polearm Opponent makes a Reflex save (DC = 10 + dmg) to avoid getting the Ritiik embedded in his/her flesh. If embedded, the wielder can make a Trip attempt. Removing the Ritiik is a Full Round action that takes two hands and causes the original damage again unless a Heal check vs. DC 15 not a reach weapon :D |
| #10dr_rocktopusApr 17, 2009 9:42:58 | No, is true, is not. But you can just but a spare five feet of reach using the long arm fiendish graft That said, prolly nae worth it, but oh my little ritiiks, someday someone will love you. |
| #11Omen_of_PeaceApr 17, 2009 10:33:59 | Isn't that 3.0 ? I thought he-who-shall-not-be-named had done a 2.0 on this board with Crusader+Monk but no psionics. |
| #12carnivoreApr 17, 2009 11:09:21 | Archerpwr/ubernoob ... did some... also you might check the thread Aelrinth did :D |
