| #1onearmedwillisMar 23, 2008 19:51:37 | Hey guys, its been a few years since I've had time to play (about 7, in fact) and I'm looking for help building up to a 13th level Wizard/Binder/Anima mage. Mostly need help with feats, as I'm not at all up to date on what is out there. So far he's a Human Wiz-2, Binder-1, Anima Mage- 4. I've been given a chance to completely change him around though, so any help is welcome. Thanks! |

| #4eldritch_lordMar 23, 2008 21:30:04 | ... you can chain personal range spells? Ocular Spell lets you cast personal-range spells at a fixed range; it's in Lords of Madness, I believe. Ocular Spell+Persist Spell has been a somewhat common combo for a while. And how are you casting anything with a +10 metamagic adjustment? Vestige Metamagic, the main benefit of Anima Mage. It lets you suppress some vestige abilities to add metamagic for free a certain number of times per day. I'm not sure whether it's limited to one feat at a time, though; I'd have to double check that. Even so, +6 metamagic or so for free is pretty good. |

In both games I've played an Anima Mage, they ruled 1 feat to prevent ridiculousity. Throw in a flaw or retrain either precocious apprentice (AFAIK controversial subject that relies on DM interpretation, I was allowed to do it) to get Arcane Disciple: Pride for chain persistent Divine Power. |

| #8heffroncmMar 24, 2008 6:08:58 | I've never been a fan of Righteous Might. As compared to Enlarge Person, it gives me +2 STR, +2 Con, +2 Dex, +2 NA that is probably overwritten by an amulet, and minor damage reduction. To get these benefits, I spend a 5th level spell slot on a rounds per level spell and need a 15 Wisdom. There are better choices for Persisting out there for a Wizard, and Enlarge Person serves for when you really need to be larger. |
