Looking to keep up...

Hey guys, just revving up for a short campaign.  Found out we're going to be level 12, it's a custom setting but anything is still usable, the only requirement is that we be elves.  Stats are rolled and I have 16,16,14,13,11,9 to play with.  The tone we're going for here is "Not obviously broken" since we almost made the DM cry last game, and he asked us to keep it simpler.

Not to be outdone, the two other members of the party took druid11/MoMF1(Frozen form for Cryohydra!) and some really effective fighter build.  And... I'm sitting here looking around, wondering what I can play to keep up.  Both of them are simple builds that are very powerful, and I'm not sure what to do.  I was originally thinking about a TWF build, dervish style or something... but I think the druid has melee covered, with his 72d6 cold blast

Suggestions?

Sounds like a wizard with a focus on divination/scouting and battlefield control could be a good choice. You can be incredibly powerful and useful without overlapping much with what the other two are doing.

you will do more than just Outface them .... the Build finishes like this:

Bard 8/ Arcane Archer 2/ Sublime Chord 2/ Abjurant Champion 5/ Sacred Exorcist 3

BAB +16
9th lvl Spells
Bardic Music
Turn Undead

great Skills, Ranged Attacks, class abilities, etc....

the Druid and Fighter have Melee covered, you can focus on Ranged support, Social Skills, Arcane Spells, Non-combat abilities

1: Hood.  Seriously.  One-round nearly anything you can hit at this level.  Your DM seemingly asked for it.

2: Be an action-efficient Psion.  Have your Psicrystal use White Raven Tactics on you at the start of every battle.  Carry a case of Belts of Battle.  Get an Incantatrix cohort/thrall and have him Persist your buffs including metamorphosis: Choker, sense danger (Magic of Eberron 106), and schism.
