| #1belkkorDec 20, 2009 3:58:03 | I'm wanting to make a Scout/Rogue Sneak Attack Optimized character, but don't want to have to deal with the xp loss for multi-classing, also my DM will not change the ninja stuff to sneak attack or anything else similar... So... any help (oh and spell thief is a no) |
| #2belkkorDec 20, 2009 3:58:25 | BTW I am only allowed 8 lvls at the moment. |

Also what kind of build were you thinking of? |
| #4belkkorDec 20, 2009 15:36:06 | Well I want either Scout, or Ranger, I have most of the books available, but I want rogue there as an equal or greater class (or an equivilent) I'm wanting a sneak attack/or sudden strike build but no mix. lvl 8 with a 38 pnt ability buy |

Have you look at maybe Swift Hunter build? Any prestige classes interest you? |
| #6belkkorDec 20, 2009 17:10:21 | Ranged me thinks, the party has a cleric game breaker build (zombie 10 head hydra, zombie silver dragon and a skeletal Pit Fiend) so someone needs to do something from the back... We also lack the skill focused characters... So I want to fill that ![]() |

| #8felgorothDec 21, 2009 7:34:34 | If you go Ranger 1/Rogue 1/Scout 18 (you can put your Rogue and Scout levels wherever you want) and then take Swift Hunter and Swift Ambusher you get full Sneak Attack, full Skirmish, and all the favored enemies of a 20th level Ranger, not to mention if you pick Undead and other things that can't normally be skirmished you can now skirmish them because of Swift Hunter. |

Ranger 2/Rogue 1/Spellthief 1/Scout 16 would be my preference here. |
| #10houkamaDec 21, 2009 12:57:10 | Ranger 2/Rogue 1/Spellthief 1/Scout 16 would be my preference here. Spellthief isn't allowed. Halflings make particularly strong Ranged skirmishers. Especially if you pick up the first Halfling racial substitution level which nets you an extra 1d6 of ranged SA. EDIT: Also the 5 level Master Thrower Prestige Class is nice for Ranged Skirmishers. I recommend Sneaky Shot, Weak Spot, and Tumbling Shot. |
