| #1brxynApr 06, 2008 21:24:38 | ive been wanting to build a character since the 3.0 Psionic Handbook came out. a Blue, to be specific, that was some sort of caster that always had maxed out ranks in Intimidate (or close to it.) over the last couple years, ive been compiling all of the spells that have Fear as a descriptor, in hopes of playing a character that uses the hell out of them. ive decided it would probably be in my best interest to combine the 2 elements into one character. how would you, the lovey optimizers that you are, do this? i dont know much about the rules for Incarnum, nor the rules from ToM (ive never been in a game where they were used, so i havent really sat down to look them all over.) |

Secondly, you don't need every last Fear spell in the game, since they all have the same effect. All that said, my suggestion for a simple Fear-based character is this: Half-Orc w/ Major Red Dragon Bloodline Paragon 3/Hexblade 4/Avenging Executioner 5/Menacing Brute 5 or... Whisper Gnome Focused Illusionist 6/Master Illusionist 4/Shadowcraft Mage 5/Nightmare Spinner 5 Obviously one is physically oriented while the other is magically oriented. |

I always liked this rule because it reminded me of Dragon Ball Z with Nappa and Vegetta. The smaller guy is always more powerful and frightening. |
