| #1mammalMar 27, 2008 2:02:03 | I am playing in a campaign and I do not know what the most effective way there is to take my character. I am kind of lost at the moment. I play a Wizard 2/Druid 3/Mystic Theurge 2/Arcane Hieophant 3 Grey Elf My DM RAI Precocious Apprentice to allow me to qualify for Mystic Theurge early. Any WoTC book is acceptable as source material though no Eberron classes and no Dragon Magazine. I am missing a feat and I also have not chosen my level 4 Wizard spells yet. Character Info Using the 32 point character builds my stats are as follows. STR 6 DEX 10 CON 14 INT 20 WIS 16 CHA 10 Feats Precocious Apprentice Practiced Spellcaster (Wizard) Spellbound Companion |

You can complete somatic components in forms and it lets you use material components that melded with you, as well as foci. Why do you have strong arm bracers? for a (free) large quarterstaff, club, and sling? All of your items will meld with you if you wildshape and become non-functional, so make sure you plan for that, or buy some wilding clasps. best way to take your toon is to finish arcane hierophant, then upto 5th level of mystic theurge, this will make you 20th, in the epic, just advance arcane hierophant for ever, unless your dm neuters the spellcasting progression. If that is the case, finish mystic theurge upto 10 levels, then advance wizard upto 5th for that bonus feat, and druid upto 5th. After that... well, its high epic. upto you. |

You can complete somatic components in forms and it lets you use material components that melded with you, as well as foci. I am taking all my magic items off , wildshaping then putting them back on. On 213 in the DMG it says that magic items (except for weapons and armor) size to fit the owner and in the further details of the Magic Item Compendium p219 where it clarifies body slots, it says to assume that a character has all given body slots unless they are obviously missing. Since I Only wildshape as an Ape I am bipedal, Pearl of Speech gives me Verbal and in a human-like body I can do somatic and go into a pouch or anything I need as a character. The only downfall is that if I use my only utility Wildshape that I lose all magic bonuses. I try not to use a feat if I can find a Magic Item to do the job, and my build is feat starved as it is. Why do you have strong arm bracers? for a (free) large quarterstaff, club, and sling? All of your items will meld with you if you wildshape and become non-functional, so make sure you plan for that, or buy some wilding clasps. Since my prefered size is Large the Strong Arm Bracers give me a Huge Quarterstaff (ok its a tree) for a 2d6 Weapon at reach and every extra bit of damage helps. best way to take your toon is to finish arcane hierophant, then upto 5th level of mystic theurge, this will make you 20th, in the epic, just advance arcane hierophant for ever, unless your dm neuters the spellcasting progression. Yeah, I dont think we are getting to Epic, we probably are going to kill them off around 16 and start another campaign. Thats why I am trying to get the most bang for my buck atm. RP wise there is a major battle soon to be happening. I should have named this Arcane Hierophant ... broken? to get more responses lol. (I really am lol) |
