Mage bane rogue

Jan 07, 2010 16:47:06 I'm going to make a mage hunter for a friends campaign. I've considered the Complete arcane mage slayer feats and the occult slayer PrC. All the other classes that occur to me are basically just good all around rogue classes rather than mage killing specific classes. Any feats, items, classes or races for this char would help. Ninja/Ninja Spy/Shadow Dancer/Bloodhound are on my list of considerations.

Jan 07, 2010 16:57:16 Karsite from Tome of Magic has Spell Resistence and heals if a spell fails to get through his SR. It is a Human subrace(they even get to keep the bonus feat). They also suppress magical effects on the target of a succeful melee attack. The downside is that they can't cast spells(only spells are restricted not spell-like abilities, psionic powers, or anything else of the sort) and LA+2.

Jan 07, 2010 19:58:47 Hmm. I wonder how well a Spellwarped Karsite would do at being the anti-mage. Anything that fails to penetrate the spell resistance heals and buffs him.
