Mage of the Arcane Order: i'm looking for spells that helps learn those grabbed from Spellpoll!

Mar 14, 2010 10:08:09 Sorry for my ugly knowledge of english.

I can remember few weeks ago i found something about a method wich you can learn , with two spell, those spells that you call with the spellpool from the prc. So, when you call a spell, with those two spells, you can grab in your memories then scribe in your spellbook, instead of the normal rules of the abilities.

Who can aid me with those two spells ???

Mar 14, 2010 10:56:17 I don't know if this is what you are talking about, but you can learn any spell in the game by using the Dark Chaos Feat Shuffle: the two spells are Embrace the Dark Chaos and Shun the Dark Chaos from the Fiendish Codex I- use Embrace to gain a vile feat, then use Shun to switch it to any feat you qualify for- like Extra Spell. With Extra Spell, you learn a spell. Now I'm not clear if the spell stays in your spellbook if you swap out Extra Spell, but with two spells, you can at least learn any spell on a short term basis.

Mar 14, 2010 11:40:42 secret page. Get spell from spellpool, write to your spellbook. I guess mnemonic enhancer may be involved somewhere too.

- Abyssal Heritor feats aren't vile. They're A-OK for an exalted paladin. Well, paladin of freedom, anyway.

- Some DMs won't allow Extra Spell to work like that, even though it's explicit use for preparing casters is to get spells you wouldn't normally learn
- You could also just shun/embrace Arcane Disciple Feats, but that's a bit slower tactic, really.

i mean, i saw them but in the srd...but in wich book are they ?

why you told me about secret page ? where it can help me on my porpouse ?
secondly, mnemonic enhancer is pretty good ,but only for 3rd or lower lvl...is there something for higher levels ?

Mar 15, 2010 8:50:22 They're in the Player's Handbook (PHB). Mnemonic Enhancer is called Rary's Mnemonic Enhancer ; Secret Page has the same name.

I'm also a bit confused as to Secret Page.

But...hmm...what about Lucubration? you prepare a spell that you have cast- 5th level of lower- you technically have cast your spellpool spell, so you could lucubrate(?) that and prepare it normally. Then you scribe your scroll or whatever. If you heighten Lucubration, could you work this with 9th levels?

I may have missed something here, though.
