I'm playing a binder in a party consisting of: two clerics, a knight, a paladin and me. So far I've been predominantly bound to Focalor. I use a longspear and stay back to nuke, making attacks of opportunity as foes enter adjacent squares.  When they get adjacent, Focalors aura of sadness gives them penalties to their attacks and saves, so I nuke them with their penalty and then tumble back to repeat the process. We just hit level 5, so it's coming time to decide on my party role with my level 6 feat. I think I want to shutdown casters. At level 8 when I am able to bind Otiax, my reach will be 10ft and I'll threaten 24 squares with my air blasts. Combined with Mage Slayer, I can put serious pressure on casters to move in combat cause they won't be able to cast defensively in my threatened area. Add Pierce Magical Protection and I can make a touch attack as a standard action at 10ft reach that is if hits cancels all magical effects improving their AC. I have Spellcraft, Tumble, and Use Magic Device at their cross-class maxes, and 1 point in every Knowledge (all of which cost 1 skillpoint a rank thanks to Able Learner). Dantalion will give me +8 to all knowledge skills for when it's time to study up. Items I'm after short term (obviously once we can afford it, there'll be more): Lore Gem - 7500gp (+2 to all knowledge skills) Spellsight Spectacles - 2500gp (+5 on spellcraft and UMD involving scrolls) Acrobat's Boots - 900gp (+2 tumble, 3 charges that give faster movement) Gloves of Spell Disruption -  1000gp (adds 5 to concentration DCs when hitting a caster) I'm going to go L1-15 Binder, L16-20 Knight of the Sacred Seal (patron vestige Orthos via Improved Binding) My feats atm: L1(human) Able Learner L1 Improved Binding L3 Improved Initative L4(binder) Expel Vestige Plan for the future: L6 Mage Slayer L9 Pierce Magical Protection L11(binder) ??? L12 Weapon Focus (Melee Touch Attack) L15 Improved Critical (Melee Touch Attack) L18 ??? Any input / suggestions appreciated
