Funny you should ask I was researching this myself PG 234 MIC (Magic Item Compendium) alternate slots for items I think it is the belt slot, but I'm not positive |
| #3sinfire_titanJul 23, 2008 23:09:05 | Belt of Magnificence +2/4/6, waist slot. Except it grants it to all six stats, not just one. |

| #5sinfire_titanJul 24, 2008 11:15:32 | How much does that little gem cost? The +6 is 200,000, but the item is in the Minis Handbook. I can't list the other prices as I don't know them. |
| #6cycadaJul 24, 2008 14:31:06 | That's actually an amazing deal, especially if you look at the item creation guidelines and consider the fact that it takes up only one item slot. |
| #7stpetegamerJul 24, 2008 14:46:10 | That's actually an amazing deal, especially if you look at the item creation guidelines and consider the fact that it takes up only one item slot. Yeah that seems outrageous really I mean one slot for all the stats and it is horribly expensive. I don't think that would ever fly in my group, but good to know lol |
| #8carnivoreJul 24, 2008 15:06:01 | Belt of Magnificense: +2 = 25000gp +4 = 100000gp +6 = 200000gp :D |
| #9stpetegamerJul 24, 2008 17:06:23 | Belt of Magnificense: That just seems so outrageous I can't believe that is a real item. WoTC is crazy sometimes are they not? P.S check out my cleric thread before it disappears off the first page I need some help with feats... Thanks |
| #10sinfire_titanJul 24, 2008 19:47:00 | Does your party think a +10 weapon is overpowered? I'd hope not. The Belt is just economical, plus it has a 24-delay. You don't gain the benefits until you've worn it for a day IIRC. |

I agree the belt rocks it out still, and no I did not do the math, but it seems to me that buying a plus 6 item of each type would be more expensive and take up what like 6 slots? Seems like a super bargain to me that's all I am saying. ![]() |

| #13stpetegamerJul 24, 2008 22:09:54 | I totally agree sir the character I am playing right now uses a monk belt to generate AC but I tell you what my next character will come with one of these in the starting package assuming I can afford it. What's the Belt of Battle do for ya? |

What's the Belt of Battle do for ya? It grants extra actions. The fact that it can grant Standard ones is what makes it under-priced. |
| #15stpetegamerJul 24, 2008 22:52:29 | that is pretty sick extra actions are well worth it I mean can you really put a price on extra actions? |

Don't forget the Healing Belt, too. ![]() Though in a high-level campaign, it might be more economical to have a bunch of them that you can change in/out when out of combat. |
| #17kilrooJul 25, 2008 21:15:21 | The Healing Belt of Battling Dwarvenkind is a great one for a rogue. |
| #18ookamikibaJul 26, 2008 15:58:07 | Belt Numbers: 6^2 (Str)x1000 = 36,000gp (6^2)*1.5 (Dex)x1000 = 54,000gp (6^2)*1.5 (Con)x1000 = 54,000gp (6^2)*1.5 (Int)x1000 = 54,000gp (6^2)*1.5 (Wis)x1000 = 54,000gp (6^2)*1.5 (Cha)x1000 = 54,000gp ____________________________________ Total Cost: 306,000gp Item Cost: 200,000gp Savings: 106,000gp... ![]() That's beyond an awesome deal... You could move it to, say, the wrists for the exact same cost (because Dex is associated with the Bracer slot) and free the belt slot up for a Belt of Battle. |
| #19panserbjorn_xJul 27, 2008 19:33:27 | Belt Numbers: Except that according to the MIC, you don't multiply the base price for Con. And Dex is associated with the arms/feet/hands, so if you were going to make an item that granted +6 to all abilities in one of those slots, you would use the above formula. Not sure why you would though. You can add any of the properties found on page 234 of the MIC to any slotted item, and not need to waste the slot. Otherwise, the savings is less (288K vs 306K), but still a good deal. ~P_X~ |
