It's been a tradition of sorts to have an order of the bow initiate in every game we ever had (and the one time we didn't fell apart 2 sessions later). Usually by the same player (who's only line ever was "i shoot him!". In or out of battle.) That player got tired of playing an archer, so this time i'm taking that role.

There's also no cleric so i'm on first aid duty (DM made a divine feat that lets me use turn attempts to change all damage done that round to positive energy, as a swift action.)

DM ruled that manyshot can be used with ranged precision, for no other reason then OoTBI is terrible without it.

So, optimizing is easy enough at first, even with needing to squeeze in turn undead somehow - Human Ranger 4 (Distracting Attack variant)/ Targeteer 2 (fighter variant, gives dex to damage)/ Soldier of light 1/OoTBI 10.

Then i found out the campaign is supposed to be until level 25-26 or so. So i have 3 pre-epic levels to fill in before i can take epic OoTBI

that's where you come in.

I need the 3 levels that'll have the greatest effect. Preferably something that'll let me take weapon specialization, some other feat, or allow me to take 1 level in post-epic for an epic feat. Right now i'm thinking either:

Targeteer +1/Warblade 1/ xyz 1 (then +1 targeteer for an epic feat)
OR
Pious Templar 3 (then another level post-epic for an epic feat)

But i'm more then open to suggestions.

right now, he's at 8th level, with 1 level of OoTBI.

FEATS:
Point Blank Shot (1st) // Track (ranger 1) // Precise Shot (human) // Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Greatbow)(Targeteer) // Weapon Focus (Longbow)(3rd) // Rapidshot (Ranger 2) // Endurance (ranger 3) // the feat my DM made (6th) // Manyshot (Targeteer 2)

I need to take Greater Manyshot (Expanded psionics), Weapon Specialization & Mastery won't hurt, and Imp. Critical, Imp. Precise Shot, Extra Turning and Shot on the Run are also good.

Oh, and don't worry about deities conflicting, the campaign is weird like that. (which means he already meets the requirements for Ordained Champion, for example)

so, any suggestions?

Scout (CoAdv ) w/ Swift Hunter feat ( Co Scoundrel )

I'm not sure of the pre-reqs off hand, away from books.
Check the Char op boards for ....(edit: adding link )

only 4 ranger levels, i'm not sure if +2d6 & +1 ac is worth a level and a feat. it's a good thread tho, i'll save it for another character. thanks.

or is it? that's 6d6 with a 3 arrowed-greater manyshot. what do you guys think?

Some other benefits, iirc:
Stacks lvls for Ranger favored enemy bonus damage
Allows skirmish to affect enemies normally immune to precision damage, which is nice for undead, elementals, constructs etc...

Plus if you have feat available:
Improved Skirmish, again not sure of pre-reqs, adds +2d6 if move 20'
This doubles the skirmish damage, 12d6, for your 3 arrow greater manyshot
