#1 fansy Mar 28, 2008 16:21:23	If I were to have the feat Extraordinary Artisan, and craft an item with a class or alignment restriction, how would the two discounts be taken off? Take a base 5000gp item. Would it be: 1) 5000 - (5000 x .3) - (5000 x .25) = 2250 or 2) 5000 x (.75 x .7) = 2625 Basically, do each of the discounts get applied to the base first, then both subtracted, or do you do it all in one operation? Each refer to the "base price," so I'd assume the first method. But I could be wrong. Thanks
#2 aftercrescent Mar 28, 2008 16:25:53	I would say the first as well. In almost any instance when you're applying effects to something, you get to apply it in the most favorable way possible, which is option one in your list.
#3 kanenfawder Mar 28, 2008 17:42:19	Personally I'd go with method 2, but just because it sounds the most reasonable. Realistically though, most DMs that I've played with don't allow the creation of items restricted to the crafter. It's pretty much cheating the item creation rules (you read: guidelines).
