| #1nethaliasAug 22, 2010 16:31:04 | This is a Character i came up with that is using a number of different Books, and rules, including Gestalt rules. and ignoring a lot of suggestions in the books (particularly unearthed arcana's mystic thrurge and gestalt). Any way this character has full attack(and then sum) and Full arcane and divine spell casting ability. Even with this wide array of ability, the character still excels in all the categorize of use he/she fills. Most rolls i put on the mid-high side(like health) This does use a Prestige class from the BoVD... so if u must ban this thread... then do it quickly.(given its like the most non evil thing in the whole book). Maximus Lu Pün Full attack( +30/+30/+25/+20/+15, 1d8+10, + 1d6 cold, 15-20x2 +1d10 crit. and+30/+30/+25/+20/+15, 1d8+10, +1d6 electric, 15-20x2 +1d10 crit.) Feats: iron will, malign spell focus, two weapon fighting, imp. two weapon fighting, greater two weapon fighting, exotic weapon proficiency (elven thin blade), improved crit. (elven thin blade), empower spell, maximize spell, craft wonders item, still spell Flaws: shaky(-2 ranged attack), feeble Special: weapon finesse, Grace +3, insightful strike, dodge bonus +4, acrobatic charge, improved flanking, lucky, acrobatic skill mastery, weakening critical, slippery mind, wounding critical, familiar, scribe scroll, 10% miss chance(from cloak) DR 10/ good + cold iron, devil blood, detect chaos/good at will, spell resistance 31(11+HD), unlimited Telepathy, 1/day summon monster IX, Perfect dark vision, immune fire +poison, resistance to acid + cold 10. Saves: Fort 13, Ref 16, will 24 Equipment: str. 10 Books used: |

| #3SenevriAug 22, 2010 18:17:09 | Ahh.. gestalt. If I ever played Gestalt, well... Wizard 6/Swiftblade 10/Wizard +4//Factotum 6/Wizard +1/Factotum+2/Wizard +1/Crusader 2/Wizard+1/Warblade 2/Wizard+1/Swordsage 4. For an example. Probably take font of inspiration, oh, 4 times. That should suffice. It's not even a dual caster, and wouldn't probably have many interesting feats. |
| #4nethaliasAug 23, 2010 2:46:40 | This build was more for max versatility, so i'm sure, i know there are builds that far exceed it in every category. But this is a play-able character and once u hit epic level, u just need to be able to cast 9th level spells, and u can do anything.(with enough spell craft that is). And what book is colossus of war in? sounds like an epic level prestige... but then yes, i'd assume it would beat this build in most categorize. (sory about my misspelling). sory but i can't follow: Wizard 6/Swiftblade 10/Wizard +4//Factotum 6/Wizard +1/Factotum+2/Wizard +1/Crusader 2/Wizard+1/Warblade 2/Wizard+1/Swordsage 4. atm. |
| #5lycanthrope0Aug 23, 2010 6:04:15 | colossus of war is a build its a Divine Gish that ends up colossal all the time and has great attacks and great saves with a AC in the 100s easily at level 20 ron |
| #6SenevriAug 23, 2010 8:59:52 | was curious so googled colossus of war divine gish. First link that popped up. For versatility... I listed the levels there. Swiftblade loses a caster level at, 1, 4, 7, and 10, so I patched those up with wizard, mostly. Otherwise it's a simple build:
1-6 Wizard//Factotum
7 Swiftblade//Wizard
8-9 Swiftblade//Factotum ->Factotum 8 = extra standard actions per combat
10 Swiftblade//Wizard
11-12 Swiftblade//Crusader
13 Swiftblade//Wizard
14-15 Swiftblade//Warblade ->l15 extra standard action/round
16 Swiftblade//Wizard ->Time Stop
17-20 Wizard//Swordsage
The basic idea is that you can get up to three standard actions in a round, meaning up to four spells, or a boost and three maneuvers. Your Swordsage IL will start out at 9 and end at 13, meaning... - All shadow teleports - Swooping Dragon Strike (stun), Quicksilver Motion, Death In The Dark(+15d6), best Mountain Hammer (12d6, ignore DR), Disrupting Blow(target loses action).... - Your Warblade is high enough to get Iron Heart Surge. - Your Crusader can get Revitalizing Strike and Thicket of Blades (all movement provokes AOOs) So, you're combat-capable even WITHOUT magic. All you really need to cast is Haste, and you can do that as a free action 1/round. You can also 1 round Time Stop as a free action by spending a 6th level slot. And you have nearly as many standard actions as you like in that time, up to 9 standard actions, or with the conservative reading, you get up to 3 standard actions per round (as Cunning Surge refers to AN(singular) standard action.) |
