Maxing out the Artificer

So I've got a Warforged Artificer, Lvl 16, that I need to appropriatly equip by Sunday for dragonslaying. DM is wanting to end his little campaign by throwing a great wyrm dracolich at us and I want to stack the odds in our favor as much as possible (even if it may be futile). All source books allowed. Character roll is secondary nuker/general support.

260,000 gp worth of items to have, and I've approval by the DM that the magical items can be self-crafted. He's got the 3 feats from Eberron that allows him to craft @ 75% cost to time, gp, and xp. Otherwise, his feats are tied up in overcoming spell resistance (Wh00t, just have to roll higher than a 4), Mithral Armor, and Mithral Fluidity. All spells for crafting items are on the table (what with him being an artificer).

Starting Point:
Item 1: Belt of Magnificence +6; 75,000 gp for him to craft

Unless someone has a better idea, I want to keep this item (Yay, stat boosts to everything), leaving me 185,000 gp for everything else. For armor, I'm thinking Stonemeld ability and +5 enhancement as solid contenders. Everything else, well, I'm planning on a "golf-bag" full of staffs. Spells for staffs I have a general idea for are Disintegrate and Drown (yes, useless against undead, but we'll be fighting live dragons and other things, too).

I'm allowed to spend the GP on having constructs, too, but most of what I've found can't touch a Great Wyrm's AC (still need to dig through a few more books - maybe find a way to really boost 'em). I figured if anybody would be able to help me out with this, it'd be you guys.

The entire premise of this thread made me lol a bit. Dragons are easy pickings most of the time, though dracoliches are a hair tougher. And artificers are easily one of, if not, the strongest class in the game. Unless that dragon has some SERIOUS HD / Class Level advancement, this is a cakewalk even solo.

Secondary nuker? Screw that. You just got promoted to primary thermonuclear delivery system. Or would, if you had more free feats. But you can still humiliate just about anything else that wants to pretend it can do damage.

General Support? Screw that too. Or at least the support part. Appoint yourself General.

Just as a starting point, I'll advise against burning cash on enhancement bonuses past +1. That's what Magic Vestment / Greater Magic Weapon are for. If at all possible, you'll want to retrain a few feats into metamagic to really open up your offensive and buffing potential. Mithral Fluidity goes first. For metamagic choice, go take a look at the various threads dedicated to artificers under Surreal's godlinks. Heck, do it anyways. Go. Now.

Okay, those threads are scary. Very, very scary. I both love and fear it. Thanks for the help, that's all I'm going to need.

Dragons, easy pickings? Guess your DM just does not know how to build them properly. Using only Core + Draconomicon dragons get just plain nasty.
