#1 hallack Dec 23, 2009 11:57:00	So a friend and I are discussing Shadow line of spells.  He is arguing that he should be able to mimic metamagiced versions up to the level cap given in the spells.   He is claiming for example that he should be able to Shadow Evoke an Empowered magic missile which would be 3rd level spell slot effectively because he is simply evoking a spell that is within the limits placed by the Shadow spell. My counter argument Shadow line only lets you mimic the spell and not modified versions.  The Metamagic feat rules say: Spells modified by a metamagic feat use a spell slot higher than normal.
