Hi, I am building a werewolf cleric and need some info, the monster progression class (found here https://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20040117a ) does not list anything on hitpoints or skillpoints. Is it that taking these progressions does not gain you any? or have they simply been fogotten.

Thanks

Thank you for the response, I may have to reconsider my character based on this. She will loose 3 levels of spell casting in a class that is reliant on it, on the flip side she gains abilities that help her do what she does, and that is fight evil.

If you are a spellcaster it is generally a terrible idea.

I'd recomend 2 things instead.

  1. Find a werewolf in game and get bitten. It will up your ECL drastically, but you get the template for free, and it won't be particulalrly helpful for your character. You may be able to talk the DM into lowering the LA. If not, you will be cool for a while.
  2. play a shifter from the eberron campaign setting. Its basically a werewolf but not a bad idea.

Another thing to worry about with the werewolf template is that you also pick up the HD of the base animal.  Those would be addition drains on the character to go along with the LA.
