| #1indignation211May 11, 2008 20:23:03 | Since my other thread seems to be buried... Ok, warblades are not proficient with traditional ranged weapons but are proficient with throwing melee weapons. Warblade 20 has no room for multiclassing, so Bloodstorm Blade is out of the question. Also, I can't fit the Throw Anything feat into my feat progression. What's his best option for ranged combat? Also, not sure if this question belongs on this board, but how does Tome of Battle work at epic levels? Can martial adepts gain more maneuvers at epic levels? Is there some system for making epic maneuvers like there is for epic spells and powers? Do epic warblades just get a bonus feat every two levels beyond 20th? |

You will be trying to close in as soon as possible. If you have the quick draw feat go with daggers about 12 of them. That would be 3 full attacks at higher levels. I hope this is of help to you. Have fun.;) |

Or take lots of movement related maneuvers (Shadow Blink and Leaping Flame via feats, Moment of Alacrity, Sudden Leap, Bounding Assault, etc) and just close with the enemy. You'll need a source of flight as well. Or buy some Lesser Bracers of Archery. |

My character is primarily a melee fighter I just needed a Ranged weapon to take on flying enemies prior to the purchase of Winged Boots or for when melee combat otherwise isn't possible. I will probably go with Shortspears, since Javelins are technically ranged weapons (and thus Warblades are not proficient with them) and a shortspear does the same amount of damage as a javelin. Later I will look into Bracers of Archery and a Mighty Composite Longbow. |

Your first level ability lets you shift this feat from one weapon to another, so it's really handy for a Warblade, and the Greatbow makes a wonderful ranged weapon. When you can afford it, a +2 Splitting Energy GreatBow is incredibly potent. JaronK |
