Im thinking about building a mounted duskblade character. I wanted some advice on what to do with him, from multiclassing to feats to skills. Weapons, everything. I had this idea a while ago, and kinda failed at the attempt, so i wanted to see what people on the boards could do with this. And id like to play him, and all the games im in atm are starting level 1-4, so it would have to be a viable character from level 4-20.

Thanks a lot COb

It looks like a hard combination. A mounted character wants to charge, or possibly fire a bow. The low-level Duskblade wants to take a Standard action, and the high level Duskblade wants to take a Full Attack action - preferably against multiple foes.

Taking 6 levels of Cavalier for the Mounted Full Attack ability doesn't seem like a good move.

Bah, nothing says a mounted character has to charge or fire a bow. The mount would give the duskblade enhanced mobility and extra defenses and attacks the same as any other character. Mounts are great for nearly any character, except those that want to be sneaky all the time.

Isnt there a feat that lets you charge as a move action instead of a full round? Then, at least at low levels, you could charge as a move, and then arcane channel as the standard. If you use a lance and have spirited charge, the lance does 4x damage, so 4d8, pluss your strength mod 4x, plus any enchantments, and your arcane channeling on top of all that.

I certainly hope there's no such feat.

Sure, but then the "build" becomes just "Max out Ride and Concentration".

He could also take feats or classes that improve his mount. But yeah.

On a related note, how do we get Mount and/or Phantom Steed on the spell list?

Well... Phantom Steed is on the Spider Domain list. So if you worship Lolth and take Arcane Disciple...
