Sinfire Titan summed up the Totemist well, in the Incarnum Handbook here. Binders allow for additional physical changes, and plenty of goodness mechanically as well. My question is: Is it feasible to make a character that utilizes both vestige binding AND incarnum? While obviously splashing one or the other is simple, I mean a character that focuses primarily on both. There's of course no classes that allow progression in both, so it seems that a lot of options are shot down immediately since either your meldshaper or binder level (or both) will be gimped. I'm really not sure that it's workable, but then again admittedly my knowledge of the possibilities of binders and totemists is far from all-encompassing. |

Use persistent buffs to make up for your otherwise crappy physical ability (Arcane Disciple: Hero will help a lot if it's available), get pounce and a bite from binding Chupoclops and a pile of extra claws from Girallon Arms. Go to town with your pouncing smashing biting clawing carnival of carnage. Rearrange levels to taste. |

Honestly, the lack of RAW dual-progression Soulbind / Incarnum / Psionic / Shadowcasting / Truenaming / Inspiration classes turns a lot of people off the classes. You have some abuse potential with Bloodlines, but that's about it Binder 4 / KoSS 5 / Druid (shifting) 1 / Tenebrous Apostate 4 / Totemist 3 / Major Devil Bloodline 3 Binding as a L21 Binder L4 Druidic casting L6 Totemist essentia |
