Hey guys!

My DM finally decided to run an epic game. We will be in End days of Faerun to open up 4.0 material and he wanted it to be memorable.

Rules:
Wizards only books, Faerun prefered (no dragon mags no 3rd party stuff)
Level 25, must pick a +4 lvl adjustment.

So what I was thinking was being a sorcerer (my fav class since I began playing)
And I also want to be a dragon race.
So heres what I have:

Spellscale (RoD) Half Celestial (MM) Sorcerer.
Now what I am having trouble deciding is where to go as far as prestige classes go and what feats to take. Ive never played epic games so I dont know what to aim for.

Any help advice and assistance would be greatly apreciated!!!

Many thanks in advance! Oli!

Incantatrix for a boatload of win. Avoid losing caster levels, grab Epic spellcasting and go to town. Considering melee in conjunction with Epic spellcasting is very viable as well. Perhaps you would like to search for Swiftblade builds from the boards? I hear they are ragingly popular for gish Sorcerers.

Other classes PrC's that might be good for your sorc in combination with incantrix is dweomerkeeper (Complete divine web enchancement). It will require one level of cleric for divine spell casting, but will allow a certain number of spells a day as supernatural abilities. This class will advance your sorc casting. This will cut through SR and remove xp costs from spells. Seeing that you are in faerun, this works great with the Alamanther's Return spell from magic of faerun. For 1,000xp which you wont actually pay, you can copy any 8th level spell of any type that you have ever seen. You get one at level 4 and every 2 levels after that. No xp works great for wish as well, but always thought this one was less chessy. Mix in the southern magician feat to be able to convert a number of spells a day to divine spells. Further mix this with Divine metamagic. Not sure if they can be used together, but if they can you can make persistant any 8th level or lower spell you want that is eligable. A rough build without books would be:

Cleric 1/Sorc 4/Dweomerkeeper 10/Incantrix 10

Cleric of mystra Domains Magic and Rune
Rune Feat Scribe Scroll
Human Feat Southern Magician (Egyption human type required from faerun)
L1 Feat Extend Spell
L3 Persistent Spell
L6 Ironwill
L9 Divine Metamagic Persistent
L12 Practical Metamagic (Races of the Dragon)
L15 Arcane Thesis Orb of Force
L18 Open
Open going with Epic Spellcasting epic
Bonus Feats from Incantrix Maximize Spell, Empower Spell, Enhance Spell (Epic)

With your high Cha, you should get lots of turning attempts a day for free persistent. Also the Incantrix and the Dweomerkeep will reduce the amount the metamagic feat increases the spell by one level at 10th, and practical metamagic will reduce it one further for a net push of +3 for persistance or 4 turning attempts. The Orb of Force spell is your friend, no save and no SR, just a touch attack. Maximized, Empowered, Enhanced orb of force will go from 10d6 to 20d6 ending at 180 damage. Arcane theis will drop all but enchance to an adjustment of +0, making it a level 5 spell. Arcane thesis officially drops each metamagic by one to as low as zero. To get your dragoness, throw on the half-dragon template of choice (faerun dragons if possible) for a +3 LA. You still have room for another +1, but stick with the human group that worships the egyption gods to qualify for the southern magician feat. There are many builds of this type on the board, but usually dont focus on using the sorc as the base class.

Hmm, do you get 25 class levels and an additional LA of +4, or just 21 levels plus your 4 LA? This is not exactly what you requested, but how about a Dread necromancer (Hero's of Horror). If you get 25 levels + the adjustment... Behold the Demi-Lich (Epic book). Dread necro will get the lich template for free at level 20, progress it to level 21. Now use the +4 LA and your last 4 levels to cover the +8 LA of the demi lich. You will be a little behind on over all caster level, but you get to be a demi lich, how can you beat that. You also are still a spontaneous Cha based spell caster. There are some ebberron rituals that let you sac Con for +'s to caster level on necro spells, but probably won't fly in your game.

Oh, and throw in Orb of Force from the spell compendium. It is level 4, and does 10d6 at level 10. Since metamagic is reduced by at least 2 levels, you can easily maximize and empower it (remeber you will get more bonus metamagic from your PrC). That takes it 90 damage of force that has no save or SR, although a touch attack is required. Don't stop there, you should be able to pick up enhance spell metamagic from the epic book. It pushes the damage cap up by 10 dice for an adjustment of +4, 2 with your powers, or 1 with another pratical metamagic. Now all you need to throw in the Arcane thesis feat to drop all of that to a total adjustment of +0 and do 180 dice of damage. If you have the feats, throw in twin or repeat spell for more fun. I think you need to be able to prepare spells for arcane thesis to be taken, but there is a feat that allows that as well. If only I was with my books I would flesh out the whole thing with the sorc build above.

what about this one ... still (somehow) sorc .. but far nicer^^

Monk2, Paladin 4 (ACF - bonus feat instead of spellcasting), dragon devotee 5, Abjurant champion 5, eldrich knight 4, Argent savant 5 ...

important feats: Ascetic Mage, Extra spell (Divine Power) OR Practiced spellcaster, versitile Caster (the xchange 2 lower level slots for one higherlevel)

what are you now:

first, you are a Sorc of Lvl 15 with CL 25 (Divine Power+Abjurant champ)
second, you have max. BAB
third, when you cast shield and greater mage armor, they give you +19 to your armorclass ... plus your CHA mod which is also added to your saves
you also get turnattempts - thus acces to divine MM (except your DM restricts this to divine spells ... ask him!!)
your force spells also deal more damage (ok ... 2 points) and you can dispell force effects without any efford...
and you get a +1 template for free ...

the rest is up to you ... I like the build ...

when you know, you will advance till lvl 30, exchange eldrich knight for master of the yuirwood (you need to be a (half)Elf!) 9 and you will get your cha mod as bonus on your saves twice!
