Starting a new campaign Friday level 10 looking for some interesting ways to shape this class.
I have a few ideas so far but would like to hear what others think. I am trying to set him up as a scout /spy so far I have taken the sub from dungeon scape losing track for traprfinding. Looking at taking Sword of the arcane order at level 6. not sure of level 1 and 3 or 9 feats yet. Not sure yet if i want to lose combat style to get fast move and wildshape yet.

Look into the Shooting Star substitution as well. Other than that your main dilemma here seems to be deciding between Combat Style and Wild Shape. Both are definitely valid but the Wild Shape is generally viewed as the most powerful option. For scouting/spying purposes wild shaping into something inconspicuous, like a stray cat or a pigeon, is a decent option. The feats Natural Spell and Sword of the Arcane Order combined with Wild Shape could lead to situations like: The cat (your character wild shaped) spots its victim, meows and licks its paw (using the natural spell feat to cast a spell), and the victim drops dead (phantasmal killer). Anyone watching this without access to magic would think that the victim died suddenly of a heart attack while the cat would be relatively ignored.

shooting star sub levels will not work with the mystic ranger you give up your animal companion already so you Can not give up something you don't have for the sub levels. Natural spell sounds good and so does wild shape

Go wild shaping mystic ranger/ daggerspell shaper with Sword of the Arcane Order for the win! Full BAB, ranger and sorcer/wizard spells along with wildshaping greatness make for a fun character, capable of being a one man party.Smile If you want an animal companion to go with it, grab Animal Cohort from the Wizards' site.
