I think it means 'superior.' I am no language master though. If I am right, a serious nerd can be called gosy too.

Writing like a retard is generally frowned upon around here. And you'll get better result by explaining what your character does, rather than just posting the build.

That said, Improved Crit (Ranged Touch) would complement your feats.

my char does a lot of things... what does it mean what does it do???

and Improved Critic (ranged touch) from what book?

PHB, technically... but Complete Arcane spells out that you can take improved critical for ranged spells.

Improved Critic, heh.

Gosu = GoSU = God of Starcraft Universe.

Started off with people calling people who were good in that game Gosus, and then it just kind of spread like a plague over the internets where 90% of people who used it didn't have an idea what it stood for.

You have a character who relies largely on Sneak Attack for damage - which means Ray spells are a good option.

Yet no "Split Ray". That's the feat you want.

"Gosu" (or well, that's the romanization anyways) is actually Korean for literally "high hand", a term used for experts in an art (apparently, they find Starcraft art - go figure). The "god of Starcraft universe" bullcrap/legend began some years ago when some random decided to think of a funny explanation to the term (as it became widespread outside Korea through Starcraft - other such terms include "hasu" and "babo").

the post is about what kind of feat i should take on lvl 18 to make more damage with my spells like orb or fireball...
not about what gosu means...

Yes, but the question was asked and never properly answered. Therefore, I answered it. Simple enough. Also, someone had the wrong idea so I pretty much had to correct that.

For the topic, you already got the answers you were looking for. If you really just want to focus on making your Orb of Fire do more, pick Fell Drain. Or Repeating Spell. Or indeed, Split Ray (you could argue that it could be applied to anything with a ranged touch, although that might not fly). What your build really wants is the Craft Contingent Spell though - you can just craft an extra Orb to trigger every time you fire one. It costs you some GP and XP for each, but hey, who cares? You can also make yourself quite close to immortal.

If Dragon Material is allowed Drop the Arcane Trickster and instead take this.

Wizard 5/War Mage 5/Force Missile Mage 5/Argent Savant 1/X 4

With these feats
+Twin Spell
+Power Attack (what you say? I will explain later)
+Iron Will (Which you don't really take but get from that O something hole in Complete Scoundrel)
+Lady's Gambit (feat from Dragon 317 this is why you take power attack)
+Knowledge Devotion
+Arcane Thesis Magic Missile

Pre reqs Combat Casting, Weapon Focus, Eschew Materials

Your base Magic Missile now does 7 missiles, twin and you have 14 missiles.
War Mage makes each missile do another +3 damage
Argent Savant makes each missile do another +1 damage
Knowledge Devotion makes each missile do up to another +5 damage per roll.
Lady's Gambit allows you to sacrifice an amount of hit points equal to your character level. Each damage roll you do for 1 round gets a bonus to attack and damage equal to half the hit points sacrificed.
The Spell Acid Sheath from the spell compedium adds +1 damage per damage die for each acid spell cast during the duration.
Rod of Empower Spell

Assuming the best case scenario without the use of acid sheath.

(7*1.5*(1d4+1+3+1+5+10))=472.5 Average Damage.

That is using a total of 8 feats which you have to use normal feat slots or bonus feats (though with metamagic storm it is really 7 feats). Start throwing on energy admixture for the price of two more feats and you just double your damage to the 900+ range with 1 spell. Since you get 3 bonus feats from war mage and wizard 5 the feats pre reqs aren't that bad.

Oh you are also a fully capable wizard (though 2 spell levels behind a normal wizard) and your magic missile damage spells don't take up your higher level slots due to arcane thesis.

killing dragons or other hi-CR stuff with magic missiles is always fun :P

Taking Energy Admixture would need Energy Substitution as a prerequisite, taking Sub Fire would allow to prepare Magic Missiles with the Fiery Descriptor.
That would work nicely with Fiery Spell, from Sandstorm, that thanks to Arcane Thesis would have a level adj of +0.
And the FMM would be able to add the Acid Descriptor to it for free to use Acid Sheath effect (too bad a use-activated item of Acid Sheath would cost quite a bit, around 100k I guess)

If you want sneak attack emphasis, I advise Human Rogue1/Martial Transmuter4/Unseen Seer10/Arcane Trickster5 with Able Learner and Practiced Spellcaster.

that's a really good idea now i need a class for lvl 17-20....
i could need smathing to take nack 2 lvl lost if possible...
and another thing.. vs single monster i use missile... and vs 2xx monsters?
any idea?
