So I started a character in my first 3.5 campaign with some friends, he was a dwarven fighter. rolled some decent stats, he was for roleplay purposes, a lawful nuetral Lord's son, but 33rd in line to the title, so he went off to heed the call of adventuring. through the course of some hilarious mistakes made by our wizard (don't summon an infernal dog when farm cultists are doing an infernal ritual... it's bad) a big ol demon dog chomps on my character. I survive, but am poisoned. After about, oh, 3 days, the darn wizard summons another hell dog, since by then I've started to change into a half fiend and given the lodestone ability. Anyway, long story short, at level 3 I'm a half fiend half dwarf, moved to chaotic nuetral, and have massive bonuses (effective level at 7) So I'm now a level 5 fighter, and with the stats I have, I can do anything except classes that require heavy wisdom or charisma. stats are a ridiculous 22 str, 20 dex, 20 con, 18 int, 15 wis, and 8 charisma. for feats I was planning on using greatswords later, so i took cleave and great cleave, done some research and am thinking I may regret that but ah well, our DM is cool, but fairly strict on not retraining anything, and in multi classing or prestige classes, I must be able to roleplay why my character chose to study with rogues or the monks or blah blah blah.
What do I need? Personal opinions on how a half dwarf half fiend can roleplay into a good multi class and or prestige class.
I would love to get the evasion feat, from rogue or monk, since I am using light armor at the moment and will probably continue to do so. with the high int, rogue would get me a lot of nice skill points so leaning that way for at least 2 levels. beyond that, I need to decide if I'm going weapon master or something focusing on probably greatswords or dwarven war axes, or some other prestige class.
All your thoughts are appreciated. I'm not new to d & d but very new to 3.5 so all info is helpful. oh yeah fyi my alignment after much work has moved back to true nuetral, and I plan to roleplay it back to lawful nuetral if I can manage it. my character in the words of my dm, "can never be good aligned now" so I'm limited in that.

Not sure where the 4th-level boost went but it would seem starting stats are 18,16,16,14,15,8; if those are only "decent" stats I'd HATE to see what you think you'd need for even "good" stats. Witha PB equivalent of at least 47 you have amazing stats especially when you don't care about CHA anyway. With WIS 15 you have a very good score there although you're looking at that through rose colored glasses and not seeing it for what it is.
Do NOT confuse "roleplaying" with "game mechanics" which is what you do when you think you need to have a "roleplaying" reason to take a certain class of feat that has some given name. A "mighty warrior" may take levels in things like Fighter, Barbarian, and even Ranger withOUT needing to come up with a specific ingame reason for taking any one of those classes. When it comes to PrCs if you've meet the entry requirements there is generally no reason you should be prevented from taking the class even if the 'name' of that class may not fit what you see as your character's concept. While a PLAYER may think in terms of "I am X/Y/Z class," the character only thinks of themself as "I am a ____," where the classes taken just helps define their final abilities.
I also want to tell you that being a fiend does NOT mean you MUST be an Evil Alignment. I will admit that a "good" alignment may be uncommon it is not impossible. In fact you could see a character that is an EVIL type character but could still become a Paladin.

The Stormwind Fallacy (note: I now much prefer referring to this as the Roleplayer vs Rollplayer Fallacy, but "stormwind" has taken on a life of its own) Multiclassing & Metagame Constructs
And Steven's reply, which is wise.
Finally, try to sidestep all alignment arguments. They cause fistfights and add nothing to the game. |

Mechanically, there's nothing outright prevent your personal alignment being good, and Wotc even had a succubus paladin that won one of the creature competitions (but gave alternate statistics for a version as a fallen paladin; it's still a pretty likely outcome, after all). |
