| #1adenthornwoodMay 05, 2008 21:50:04 | My character in a Star Wars Saga Edition campaign is currently a level 2 Soldier. Later on, I decided to stat out what talents, classes, feats, ability increases, etc. that I should take with him from levels 3 to 20. I just wanted to show the people on the boards so that some of you can take a brief look through the stat-out and give your opinion. Suggestions are recommended, comments are appreciated. My Soldier currently has the following stats; Race: Mon Calamari Age: 71 (Old) Trained Skills: Knowledge (tactics), Perception, Initiative, Demolitions (There are a few others that he has, but I don't have the sheet with me right now. These are just one I remember.) Abilities: Str 11 Dex 14 Con 12 Int 17 Wis 18 Cha 16 Feats: (Note on feats. The GM isn't giving the free feat at the beginning of the game for some strange reason. He's new, so I'm going to try my best to convince him to give the starting feat) Weapon Focus (pistols) Talents: Tough As Nails Defenses: Fort 14, Ref 14, Will 15 The concept of the character: I meant for the character to be an old veteran from a war a long time ago. He worked mostly in an administrative position but he sometimes had some battle encounters with enemy troops. 20 years after the war, the character learns of yet another war and decides to become a frontline fighter for the Republic. The character is suppose to base most of his power on two things; dual wielding two trusty pistols, and the use of force powers to aid in battle. And here is the stat-out: Level 3 (Soldier 3); Force Sensitivity (Feat), Weapon Specialization (pistols) (Talent) Level 4 (Soldier 4); Point Blank Shot (Bonus Feat), +1 Int ("Use The Force" as new class skill), +1 Dex Level 5 (Soldier 5); Damage Reduction 10 (Force Talent) Level 6 (Soldier 6); Force Training (Feat), Precise Shot (Bonus Feat), (Force Powers) Battle Strike, Farseeing, Mind Trick, Sever Force, Vital Transfer Level 7 (Soldier 7); Devastating Attack (Talent) Level 8 (Soldier 8); +1 Dex, +1 Con, Dual Weapon Mastery I (Bonus Feat) Level 9 (Soldier 9); Dual Weapon Mastery II (Feat), Equilibrium (Force Talent) Level 10 (Soldier 10); Quick Draw (Bonus Feat) Level 11 (Soldier 10/Gunslinger 1); Multiattack Proficiency (Pistols) (Talent) Level 12 (Soldier 11/Gunslinger 1); Force Recovery (Force Talent), Double Attack (Feat), +1 Dex, +1 Con Level 13 (Soldier 11/Officer 1/Gunslinger 1); Assault Tactics (Talent) Level 14 (Soldier 12/Officer 1/Gunslinger 1); Skill Focus (Initiative) (Bonus Feat) Level 15 (Soldier 12/Officer 1/Gunslinger 2); Rapid Shot (Feat) Level 16 (Soldier 12/Officer 1/Gunslinger 3); +1 Dex, +1 Wis, Trigger Work (Talent) Level 17 (Soldier 12/Officer 1/Gunslinger 3/Force Adept 1); Channel Aggression (Talent) Level 18 (Soldier 12/Officer 1/Gunslinger 3/Force Adept 2); Force Boon (Feat), Force Point Recovery (Technique) Level 19 (Soldier 12/Officer 1/Gunslinger 3/Force Adept 3); Force Power Adept (Any One Currently Owned Force Power Decided At Level) (Talent) Level 20 (Soldier 12/Officer 1/Gunslinger 3/Force Adept 3/Force Disciple 1); +1 Dex, +1 Wis, Force Power Adept (Any One Currently Owned Force Power Decided At Level), (Force Powers) Negate Energy Well, that's about it. If you see any flaws or weak points about this character, please tell me. EDIT: Some ideas for really effective strategies and powerful attacks with this character. At level 17, he could use Mind Trick on a single enemy as a feint. Next turn, he could use Channel Aggression for extra damage. At level 12, he could make three attacks with two blaster pistols as a full-round action (+12 attack bonus each (assuming that he's shooting at point blank range), 3d6+8 damage each (In addition to any additional damage by using Battle Strike), with no Dex bonus to the enemy's Ref defense (assuming that the character used Mind Trick prior to the attack)). This attack would average out to about 64 damage assuming that all attacks hit. I'm not entirely sure if that's a high damage value or not, but it could likely take out about 1/2 of any average level 12 soldier's HP (I'm thinking an average around 102 HP with 12 Con?) |

Rather than focusing on firing twice, take more force training as it will add to your character's versitility; take negate energy at least once with your first set of force training (I'd take it over sever force unless you campaign has lot of enemy force users for far) |
