Ok I know there are a lot of builds specializing in making multiple attacks of opportunity each time your opponent attacks. Obvious example that comes to mind is the Jack b Quick build. I'm not sure if others have submitted this idea before, but I just want to put this out there for some "refining"

Ok this section is only the feats that I need to take. I still need to work out how many levels of what class I need ect..... but the main keystone to this whole build is the Stormguard Warrior feat from the ToB. Specifically the Channel the Storm tactic.

I like the idea of the build but I fear that in practice it won't be very practical, unless you're in a setting were 1 on 1 duels are common.

But for the sake of optimizing,

Power Attack won't matter much with TWF, as at least one weapon will be light. IUS however, that can be TWF and takes Power Attack.

And why Combat Expertise? You've said that getting hit means even more damage, so why avoid it? A better use of the feats would be finding something that allows you to get hit but negate damage.

The ever popular Crusader's Thicket of Blades with a reach weapon makes this build even sillier, just to rack up more and more AoO.

Two feats to consider.
Backstab - Make AoO if a target you flank attacks someone else.
Defensive Sweep - If they don't move you get an AoO.

Edit; more things to consider.

The increase is based on AoO you refrain from taking, this mean it does not use up your AoOs. Also, the bonus damage would apply to any AoOs you make on the next round. Meaning you could either never take AoO and have huge full rounds, or have huge full rounds and huge AoOs every other round.

In retrospec power attack is only usefull if you take a levels of Frenzied Zerker, which would make no sense since in a rage I doubt a DM would let you withold your attacks of opportunity. Although if you used a 2 handed reach weapon it might be worth it.

Combat Expertise is required for Karmic Strike and its Greater is technically optional. My logic was that some foes might actually kill you if you give them too many free hits. But if you pump up your Con and have enough ways to migitate damage I suppose they are unneeded.

On the matter of Thicket of Blades.... I very much took that into consideration for the build. However, this is just the skeleton feats for the build. Class wise I still have a LOT of flexibility to work with.

Backstab looks beautiful but I don't know what book its from.
I also noticed Defensive Sweep, but forgot to add it to the list thanks!

On another note the Elusive Target feat might be worth it to help shave off some damage of those pesky power attackers. Although if your trying to get hit Mobility somewhat defies that point.

And if your worried about reach... hehe throw in 4 levels of drunken master and get yourself a 49.5 foot pole. Congradulations, every opponent within 49.5 feet will quickly begin racking up a bunch of +4 to Hit and Damage signs above their heads each time they move, let alone perform other actions that provoke AoOp's

Now on to my main concern. This build does have its limits I admit, anything outside your attack range makes this build utterly pointless. But considering I haven't even touched class combinations, magic items, ect... I think its doing very well for itself.
Besides all that, think about the potential for party groups. Your the parties walking shield that soaks up the damage and deals it back literally ten fold. Combined with aid from allies you become a deadly machine.

So I got to thinking more about the possible class combinations with either of these two builds. Heres a few things to sink your teeth into....

Possible Class Combinations:

Dervish- At level twenty take 5 hits from that heavily armored fighter wearing insane magical gear. The fighter pats himself on the back as he sees you before him bleeding and panting. He laughs boastfully and you smile under you breath. Little does he know that your about to unleash 16 lightning fast strikes with a +65 to hit each without rolling that deal a minimum of 736 damage without adding strength or magic!

Occult Slayer 5- Now you have a way to deal with those pesky magic users that stay at a distance.

Iajutsu Master- requires a few extra feats, but the investment is well worth it. You know that classic samurai who seems to draw his sword only once, but a thousand bloody cutts on his opponent speak otherwise...
Ye that could be you.

Hexblade - Mettle makes the world go round!

Crusader - Thicket of blades all day long baby!

Swordsage - More manuever than you can shake a stick at.

Bloodstorm Blade - So that fighter who just mauled you blinked out of your melee range.... hehe flying sword of death go!

Cleric- Ten levels of cleric can do a lot for you. Like heals, buffs, Divine Retribution, oh and did I mention heals?

Monk- perfect saves, medium BaB, LOTS of unarmed attacks, and your base damage won't be to shabby either.

Paladin (Any Kind) - Cha to saves, Good BaB, nifty heal, spells, and if you still not caring just look in the Complete Champion.

Ranger - want to be able to pick someone off with a bow as well as massacre them in melee? Plenty of skills and two good saves!

Rogue - 2 words... SNEAK ATTACK!

Sorcerer/Wiz - god don't get me started.......

If I'm missing anything please don't hesitate to mention it.

Is there a penalty for thrown weapons at melee range? If not, Palm Throw + TWF is a great way to get a ton of attacks per round.

Then you run into the problem of needing to threaten, hopefully with reach.

If you take the defensive throw weapon trick you can negate an attack of opportunity when throwing in a threatened square.

But with this build the MORE you get hit the better!

Hmmm my next task shall be to discover every possible method for provoking an attack of opportuniy. Or a least look it up in the PHB. :D

Look no further than the always awsome SRD: http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Action_Types
So I'm thinking of a swordsman that constantly drops his sword in combat and picks it up again right in front of his opponent. Thats two attacks of opportunity I just gave you... hehe don't waste em. Rofl, or perhaps a fighter who reads a book while he fights. Since reading a scroll provokes an AoOp I'd think reading a book would too. Haha so much fun to be had here.

FB would actually be really good here, if it wasn't for Frenzy and not taking AoO. It's a great way to just, well, not die.

How else can you achive this?

Well if your DM allows you could take Righteous Wrath from the Book of Exhaulted deeds. It allows a chaotic good barbarian to rage without losing control of his/her actions. You can deal subdual damage and of course not take an AoOp.

The problem is whether or not your DM would allow you to extend this benefit to Frenzy as well. Probobly not since thats the point of the whole presteige class.

Karmic Strike and Robilar's Gambit do not stack!

You can only get one Attack of Opportunity from any given action.

The best option would be to take Robilar's Gambit and save Karmic Strike for something useful.
