I am planning on running these tonight, Not sure if I have the conversions right or if the CR is to high or low. They are for use on levle 10 PCs, Swarm of Abyssal Maws and the Jovac. Both monsters were in the 3.0 Monster Manual 2 book. I loved using Jovacs in 3rd edition, should be a nasty surprise in 5E due to retribution aura.
Abyssal Maws Medium outsider (demon), chaotic evil Armor Class 15 (natural armor) Hit Points 30 (5d8 + 5) Speed 30 ft. STR 17 DEX 10 CON 13 INT 6 WIS 9 CHA 8 Immune lightning, poison Resist Acid, Frost, Fire Skills Stealth +6, Survival +2 Senses darkvision 60 ft., passive Perception 10 Languages Abyssal Challenge 1 (200 XP)
Pack Tactics. The Abyssal Maw has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the Maws allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated. Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d8 + 3) piercing damage.
Jovoc Small outsider (demon), chaotic evil Armor Class 16 (natural armor) Hit Points 72 (8d8 + 32) Speed 30 ft. STR 12 DEX 15 CON 18 INT 6 WIS 9 CHA 8 Immune lightning, poison Resist Acid, Frost, Fire, Non magical weapons that are not silver Fast Healing 10 Saves Dexterity +4, Wis +2 Skills Acrobatics +4, Stealth +4, Perception +1 Senses darkvision 60 ft., passive Perception 11 Languages Abyssal Challenge 3 (700 XP)
Aura of Retribution Whenever a Jovac takes damage from any source, every non demon in a 30’ immediately takes an equal amount of damage. A successful constitution save (DC14) halves the damage. Multiattack. The Jovac makes two claw attacks and 1 bite attack. Claw +4, damage 1d4+2 Bite +4 1d6+2
