#1 Wuvie Dec 27, 2014 8:04:22	Can someone point me toward the latest news on a 5e DDI Builder? My searching has thus far proven fruitless.   Thanks ahead of time! 8^)
#2 Greyson Dec 27, 2014 8:38:31	I came by this morning to ask the same question. I thought some group called Dungeonscape/Trapdoor Tech (whoever they are) were developing online tools for D&D5E. But then I got an three weeks ago about those people about Kickstarter "to finish Codename: Morningstar ..." I thought WotC was paying these folks to develop a character builder and other online tools.   What's going on?   EDIT: I found the 29 October 2014 announcement about the termination of the Trapdoor Tech license. Still, I wonder what happened. There was a lot of hype around these guys. There was also a lot of questions about them. Seems that the doubters were right.
#3 OoftaMeg Dec 27, 2014 8:39:08	The 5E character builder was cancelled, no new plans have been announced yet. In the meantime there are spreadsheets and pdfs out there that can be used for free. If it's any consolation I tried using the beta version and was never impressed. Hopefully something new will be announced soon.
#4 DungeonKrusher Dec 27, 2014 8:44:07	How about character sheets that we can fill in online? I was at a tournament and I really enjoyed having the book text filled in for me. Those stinkin' lines are too close together, so writing out the powers is beyond lame for me to attempt.
#5 Mistwell Dec 27, 2014 8:44:36	There are other character builders for 5e apparently, in the works.  Seems like some sort of OGL gets announced in January, which will potentially enanle these other character generators to officially release.
