| #1quexulAug 27, 2014 18:23:42 | Are people posting any 5e homebrew stuff yet? (Backgrounds, Feats, Races) If so where are they posting? I can't find any. |
| #2Lady_AurallaAug 27, 2014 18:38:15 | I homebrewed a harper agent background and am looking at ruling that if a character has both advantage and disadvantage whichever has the most of is prevailent and they only cancel out on a tie. |
| #3ZardnaarAug 27, 2014 19:24:15 | Working ona a cleric domain, a feat (Polish Hussars), and a page of house rules ATM. |
| #4rampantAug 27, 2014 19:47:03 | Mecha pilot is working on a race that's probably better than anything in the PHB:

| #5ZardnaarAug 27, 2014 20:02:06 | Oh yeah one of my poisons.
Calabar Beans
Calabar Beans a a possibly fatal poison that is ingested. The beans are powdered and can be dissolved in liquids but have a faint oily taste. When one first samples any drink or food with this poison on it the victim may be abole to tase the poison (+10 vs passive perception to notice). A sip of the poison does not result in a strong enough dose and generally an entire tankard or meal must be consumed. If one only consumes around half a dose of the poison they gain advantage on the saving throw. The poison has an onset time of 10 minutes and sends debilitating stomach cramps and pain through the victim. Consuming the poison requires a DC 13 fortitude save. Failure results in 3d6 damage and disadvantage for 24 hours on all d20 rolls while success results in disadvantage for 1d12 hours. |
| #6Azzy1974Aug 27, 2014 20:21:31 | I should be posting something up soonish. |
| #7setiAug 27, 2014 20:22:03 | I've noticed a lot of this stuff is scattered...There is still a subforum for homebrew stuff, but it's way down the page, near the 4e, campaign setting, and 'older editions' posts...I've seen many people (including myself) post houserules here in "Product and General D&D Discussions" No one uses the other pages much, this one gets most of the minute by minute traffic. Also, even though it's called "General D&D discussions" it's under 5e. So...which is it? general D&D or 5e only?
I thought they were going to fix this website. ie: obvious edition-specific sections with clear sub-sections for general discussion (this one), DM discussion, PC discussion, homebrew/houserules, and official campaign settings.
Oh well.
Please fix these forums once and for all, WotC. |
| #8KalaniAug 27, 2014 20:29:39 | I have created a kensai/sohei monk. It is on the forums if you are interested. |
| #9quexulAug 27, 2014 22:14:12 | I always thought — for me at least — that the homebrew content in the forums and the accompanying dialouge helped me become a better DM on the fly and create a game where my gaming group and I could feel a sense of ownership. I agree with Seti in the sense that it would be great to have a specific place to post and discuss homebrew content.
Everybody post links to their 5e stuff so I can check it out! |
| #10MistwellAug 27, 2014 22:41:53 | Here is a big list of homebrew backgrounds: |

| #13The_JesterAug 28, 2014 18:19:22 | Mostly working on a Ravenloft update with races, backgrounds, and other.
Also did this new background: http://www.5mwd.com/archives/1836 |
| #14DiffanAug 29, 2014 2:00:11 | When I get the PHB I plan on homebrewing a 4E style Warden (sub-path of Druid). Probably a Path of Shadow paladin, better known as a Blackguard (and maybe a Path of Sin for a Demon Knight). And I'll update my Blood Knight (sub-path of the Fighter). |
| #15quexulJul 02, 2015 16:03:48 | K... so I dove right in to 5e homebrewing. My students want to play Star Frontiers so I am making an attempt to do some conversions to 5e. Here is the first bit: Dralasites. Let me know what you guys think. The toughest part was the extra-limbs. I think it came out ok but I believe I need to re-word it, the language isn't very elegant. Forgive typos and grammar, I only did a quick edit. I guess I should start a thread just for SF 5e conversions.

| #19Emanuele_GallettoAug 30, 2014 7:59:17 | Though it's not "pure" D&D, I've just completed a conversion of the GAMMA WORLD setting to be used with the D&D5E Basic PDF. The link is in my signature below |
| #20HebitsuikazaAug 30, 2014 8:06:14 | I have pushed them a lot, but since I did work on them hard....

I'll get back to work on the Warlord class eventually if no one beats me to it. |
| #21quexulAug 30, 2014 14:38:19 | Hey Kalani, thanks for posting my Dralasite... |

| #24quexulAug 30, 2014 23:53:05 | Kalani, It seems that everyone is working on 4e D&D - 5e D&D conversions. I now see that there is a lot out there, I did better research. I'm going to try to do some simple, basic Star Frontiers/Sci-Fi stuff, humbly. (I finished the Vrusk yesterday, I want to proof read before I put it out there) I don't want to crowd your homebrew nexus with my dalliances, but I'll keep sending them.
Thanks for your efforts. |

| #27Brock_LandersSep 01, 2014 11:00:55 | I posted conversions of the Factotum, Hexblade, Jester, and Spirit Shaman classes a few months ago, I will clean them up (now that the PHB is here) and repost them. |
| #28Cyber-DaveSep 01, 2014 12:13:19 | I wrote up everything I need to run a Dark Sun campaign, minus psionics (I am going to wait for an official release on that front). |
