#1 Zardnaar Aug 25, 2015 2:58:23	It is good that the broken spells in 5E require concentration. WIth spells such as Darkvision, Dancing Lights, and Levitate requiring concentration one can never be to careful. Anyway this spell has a long duration of 1 hour and a massive area of effect. The Broken spell I am referencing is on page 61 of Vollume 1 of the Wizards Spell Compendium.   AD&D effects (that matter)   Aunty's Bath Range  0 Duration 1 hour. Area of Effect 100 gallons/level Material Component. A bar of soap.    This spell creates a hot bath with unseen hands to scrub your back.    I paraphrased the spell effect. I do like how they balaced the spell out with the material component. I suppose rather than having 100 gallons a level which is kinda broken you can get an extra 100 gallons for each higher level spell slot. By level 9 this spell could effect 900 gallons of water so it is starting to look quite powerful against Foresight, Wish and Meteor Swarm so I am thinking of making it require concentration.

#3 mellored Aug 25, 2015 6:11:39	I dont' see anything broken about using a 9th level spell for a large jacuzzi / small pool.  Heck, i'd probably make last longer. i.e. 24 hours, or untill no one is in it.     Just summon it with a bath tub, and make the water dissapear if it's leaves.   Also, not drinkable.
#4 Delazar78 Aug 25, 2015 6:34:08	This would definitely require concentration! In an aquatic encounter, this would be an automatic win!   How hot is the bath? Would aquatic creatures be able to survive such an environment? What about those nasty "scrubbing" hands? I feel Bigby's involvment in this fearsome spell.   This should defintiely be a high-level spell, indeed on par with Foresight, or Meteor Swarm.
#5 bawylie Aug 25, 2015 9:45:23	It's about 120 cubic feet at 9th level, right? 900 gallons.    My pool has over 10k gallons.    Jacuzzi has around 400-500 gallons and fits 6-7 people.    Not sure this would mitigate a meteor swarm, in terms of meteors vs water.    But, 9th level spell vs 9th level spell, I'd probably say yeah it does mitigate it. I mean, if you want to expend your most powerful slot on water to defend against enemy meteors, then yeah, it seems like it should help.    But that's not a real-world-based decision on my part.
#6 Tempest_Stormwind Aug 25, 2015 10:38:50	Stepping back a bit, I can't be the only one who notices the massive amounts of passive-aggression dripping from Zardnarr's post here, especially in the wake of his rants against all of concentration ever because it happens to appear on dancing lights. It reminds me of the Lightning Warrior.
