| #1BigWeatherJul 28, 2014 20:44:03 | Having just gotten into the Star Wars RPG (Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion) by FFG I've really taken a liking to the dice mechanic (no numbers, two axes of results, neat encapsulation of DC and bonuses by adjusting the dice in the dice pool). It seems as if the dice could be used with a more traditional fantasy game, like D&D 5e. Anyone currently working on this? |

It generates much more interesting situations and it drives imagination because you have to add new things and elements to the narration, but it's not like those meta-level FATE points, etc., which is great, imo. "You've missed the shot, but...", "You've managed to do that, and...", it makes doing the same stuff never feel like you do the same stuff. |
