"Most of you are still playing in the 1st to 6th level range. You pine for a game that runs all the way to 20th level, but agree that your most likely end point is around levels 10 to 12. You’ve been happy with the adventures we’ve published so far, but seem to have a preference more open-ended, sandbox style adventures."

Hurray! I'm one of the "Most of you"'s. I am always worried that I'll be the odd man out and everyone else is doing something way more interesting while I'm not invited to the party. It's like a high-school nightmare all over again.

overpowered

Simulacrum (+wish) for the simulacrum loop.

Conjure Woodland Being (8 pixies = 8 polymorphs).

underpowered

witch bolt (should scale better), mordenkains sword (8 hour durration), phantasmal killer, weird.

confusion:

lighting arrow (initial target should take secondary damage).

spirit guardian (and other "when enemy enters" issues).

sanctuary (is call lighing or spirit guardian an "attack").

contagion (disease before or after 3 saves?)

phantasmal killer / weird (you cannot move closer to the fear in your mind?)

simulacrum (can a simulacrum of a fighter use second wind to heal?)

I wonder if the "most of you" means they will switch over to shorter adventure paths?  In some ways that would be nice, but it has always been hard to get upper level support (even to level 15), so I would hate to miss that.

Funny about the small races.  It seems to me that they have pretty good features in 5e.  I guess there must be a stronger desire to play great weapon wielding barbarian gnomes than I would have thought. If anything, I would say that half-orc could use some nonmelee role support.......

Generally pretty happy with the nautical UA. I would have given minotaurs +1 str and +1 wis, and if someone wanted a +2 on either, they could use conqueror's virtue to get it.  I also said I wouldn't mind more themes like that for the UA articles.

I was very happy for a second there. The "Most of you..." parapgraph was matching my answers perfectly, until "but agree that your most likely end point is around levels 10 to 12."

I am sad that so many people are apparently expecting that 5th edition is going to crap out at the same point that 3rd edtiion did, and I hope that in a few months when I'm getting my campaigns past that point that so are the folks that managed to make the most popular answer to the most likely end point question not match my answer of level 20.

Responded. I like seeing additional subclasses and fighting styles vs whole new classes.

Looks like short races continue to suck.

Only comment I could make about Dragon+ is that I haven't dowloaded it because i don't have an Android or an iOS thing.

I responded, in the additional comments at the end of the survey, that I would like to see a MM every other year, as well as a book like the 1st Edition OA/DSG/WSG every other year (alternating years).

Additionally, I suggested smaller, setting neutral adventures and setting specific supplements.

I also asked about 3rd Party Licensing; specifically asking whether it would be publicly available, or by contractual agreement only.

I personally don't want to see any new monsters unless they are featured in a cool new adventure.  Same with spells.  And I want badass wizards wielding those spells.

I basically had to pass on all questions of the new survey. Haven't encountered spells yet I consider overpowered or underpowered, as they are all so situational. Don't really care about houserules, I just want to play by pure PHB with no extras. Thought about downloading Dragon+ for iOS, but didn't. The only real news that I find interesting is news on a new product release and Sage Advice / clarification of vanilla rules and those are on the website and not in Dragon+, so it doesn't really have anything relevant to me.

I don’t see the smaller races as being any worse or better in play. The Halfling’s ability to reroll any natural 1 has come in quite handy. But there are definitely people that don’t take them as seriously as character choices.

Tieflings are the weakest race IMO.

At very least, hellish rebuke should scale.
