Hi.

Although the Basic Rules pdf makes helpful use of the bookmarks function, that is of no help once you've printed it.  There is no table of contents for quick reference.

Please, please, please include a table of contents to the next revision.

Many thanks,

Afet

Mike Mearls has said the Basic Rules will be updated several times between now and the end of the year, so it's unlikely we'll see a table of contents or index before then. That said, if enough of us keep asking for them, it's likely they'll be included once v1.0 releases in December.

It should have been included in 0.1. I could have used it several times over the weekend.

Ctrl + F (Find) and you're good to go. On Apple press the apple key 4 times, spin around, then press up, up, down, right, a, b, b, a, up.

Ctrl+F will take you to every instance of a search term. I wanted to look up a specific section -- much faster to type in the page number.

Also depending on the app/application, just use the embedded chapter functionality. It works in a pinch.

There is a table of contents, at leasy in mine. It's part of the PDF itself, not an actual page. You have to enable Chapter hyperlinks or something.

Flipped through the book typing keywork <tab> pagenumber into InDesign.

Select all and run sort script

Realize, that this was what I thought was important or caught my eye, so it might be missing something you think is critical.

I'm an advertising artist, so this is the kind of thing I do every day.
