Thoughts? |

| #3melloredSep 01, 2015 12:26:50 | Only if you get rid of the +1 Str. |

As a percentage of total damage, HAM gets weaker as you gain levels, but it's still blocking the same amount of damage, saving you the same amount of HP, negating the need for the same amount of healing. A feat grants 1/day use of a 1st level spell.
But I can see how, next to durable, one would want the DR to scale. |
| #8Brock_LandersSep 01, 2015 15:18:20 | I actually thought this was about a pork product. |
| #9arnwolf666Sep 01, 2015 15:50:56 | I have nothing against this feat also. It works fine as is. I wish their were more feats giving a +1 to intelligence. |
| #10Granville7482Sep 01, 2015 17:31:29 | It's a little bit front loaded, sure. But that +1 Str gives you so much of an edge if you're playing with point buy + feats and using a class that's going to use this feat like Cleric, Fighter, Paladin maybe. And that point of strength is often forgotten once you have it.
Athlete, Tavern Brawler and Weapon Master don't see nearly as much play.
It's too good on a Human at level 1. Then gain so can GWM and Sharpshooter. That may be where some of the confusion comes in too.
Another thing that's good about this feat is well, it's one of the few damage reductions you can get of it's "type." Just about everything else falls under Temp HP or Resistance.
Dont forget "weapon attacks." count for non-magical tooth and claw, etc. About 40%ish of the attack in MM, and more like 70% of what's going to hit a character with this feat.
You want a quick fix though that wont gum up your game? Reduction = X , X = Proficicency Bonus. |
