Hi everybody,

Downloaded the V3 character sheet zip file, and I've notice that I cannot change the text size in the form fillable documents.  This is a tad annoying, as I can't fit some things in their proper places, and I can't organize things the way I want to.  I have tried Preview on OSX, Adobe Reader, and a couple of other PDF document editors.  I read on some other forums that the original creater of the PDF (WotC) is the only person who can change the fillable cells to a format that we can change the text size on.

I'm wondering if this was something that has been overlooked thus far?

Thanks,

Drannon

Ok, so I tried the ones NOT labeled "Form Fillable", and they seem to work far better.  They won't let me manually change font or size, but they at least auto format to fill the cell appopriately.

Hi Drannon,

I'd also like to have a form that is really easy to use and flexible for the user. I might be able to offer some insight into this being a graphic designer and having some experience with Acrobat forms. The from can be edited by anyone who is using Adobe Acrobat Pro, not just the designer who created it at WOTC. The only problem being that Acrobat Pro is a $500 piece of software. I have the software and could edit the text sizes, the order the fields are tabbed through, and even make it possible for the user to control the type style and size. What I don't have the expertise to do is make the cells fill automatically with the appropriate bonuses based on the ability scores.

In your post (above) you say that you found a version of the form that fills based on ability scores, I'd like to get a copy of that to test is and see if I could edit the fields. Either that or maybe we could ask WOTC to help out with this.

There are some alternative character sheets that people made last year before the official ones appeared, They have the same layout but handle text sizing differently. You might find what you are lookiing for, here
