We are starting a new game tomorrow and not 100% sure but it looks like we will have the following inthe party.

1 Warlock

1 Fighter 1/WarlockX (Bladelock)

1 Paladin

1 Sorcerer

And probably some sort of healer as well.

The Paladin will likely take the shield bash feat. Anyone with a hex spell onn them has disadvanatgae on a ability checks such as strength.

At level 3 my sorcerer can take the enhance ability spell and twin it gaining advantage on strength checks on myself and say the Paladin the Sorcerer is a Mountain Dwarf. Any victim of the shield bash feat has disadvantage on the skill check to avoid getting bowled over while the Paladin will have advantage and knocking people over may also be a better plan than a firebolt spell from my Sorcerer.

The Bladelock is using a two handed weapon I do not think she is planning on taking the great wepaon fighting feat. If she does I think thats an explosian in potential damage starting at very low levels as well will have advanatage and probably  bless available y level 3 if we want it.

If the DM throws ranged stuff at us we will have 3 PCs capable of using fireballs and 2 of them can use eldritch blast and the Sorcerer can spam spells as well.

The defender chooses athletics or acrobatics to contest a shove, so hexing one ability won't be too bad for them unless one of those scores is already low.

As a DM, if my players wanted to use this tactic I'd let them. Its a perfectly valid use of synnergy.

But as with any tactic, if the players start consistently trivialising fights, you have to start finding new ways to thwart them to keep the game fun.

Sounds OK. I'd consider it slightly cheesy to stack so many abilities from different characters for a single mechanic, but it's not broken or anything.

Prone isn't that strong, even with 2 melee, and your spending plenty of resources on it. So.. it's just fun, and if anything slightly under powered.

I can't wait to see Zard's post next week about how broken the Shield Mastery feat is...

One of these days you'll have to let us know how you manage to game 9 out of 7 days....

Sounds like a lot of mucking around to make someone go prone. If I was the Sorcerer I'd rather use sleep or other crowd control (Hold Person) than wasting a round with enlarge.
Since your group isn't using the -5/+10 feats this time around you don't need to work so hard to get advantage.

Definite Gruyere.  And why, why do you and yours seem to approach the game this way, seems totally creepy and wrong.

He's asking if a combination of class mechanics would be too cheesy. Why would he put down people's backstories? I swear some people don't read the threads properly
