So for example, if you have a character you are playing, such as a Half-Orc Wizard who uses a Quarterstaff and wears furs, they can make a minature out of it for you. Then you can order it and have them ship it to your house.
So for example, a DM could have their whole group's party made into custom miniatures and gift them out to the players.
What do you all think? Would this be a useful service, for those of you who use miniatures? Would you use it? |

Not enough to avoid angering the judges. I'm only a so-so painter, but the biggest thing is patience and time. They're very nice minis at HF. I have one of the low res white ones, and it's very durable. I haven't painted it yet, just sealed. But take a look, there's a lot of information on painting minis out there. And no, you don't need to do anything near as fancy as some of the show-piece Battletech or 40k minis. |

| #17AndrewJOMay 02, 2015 9:54:52 | This is awesome, I would have never thought of ordering custom minis. I think I'm going to order one of these once I finally get a character to level 5. Does anyone have any experience with Hero Forge? How is the quality/durability compared to WotC minis? |
| #18Slit518May 02, 2015 10:47:46 | Or in the future, when 3D printing becomes more wide spread, they could use colored material for the 3D printing job. Just imagine it printing out in color? |
