This narrated video explores roleplaying and character development, skill usage, and systems for healing, resting, and injuries:

If you have not seen the prior video in the series (which is a narrated combat encounter), I recommend you watch it first:

Great video depicting gameplay! Your narrative is particularly strong, very helpful for new players! The map is niice too!

Another great video, esper.  Thanks.  Long live roleplaying and character development!   (The addition of traits, bonds, ideals and flaws, and the inspiration mechanic certainly encourages more roleplaying).

I like the video.

I'm not a fan of the contest, for a couple of reasons.

1) A couple of dice rolls seems pretty flimsy to get a character to so drastically change his character concept and alignment. (talking about Leo)

2) The two outcomes do not seem to be equivalent in difficulty.  Getting someone to tell you why they are hunting a bad guy seems like it would be an easier task then geting someone to change their entire outlook on life and give up on beauty etc.

To do this, I think I would have given each goal its own DC; and either just count successes, or could compare how well each person succeeded.

I do like the Healing changes, and am looking forward to that video.

Did you just change the heal rate, or do all 'short rest' abiilties require 8 hours. (like warlock spells, or barbarian rage)

Heck, I keep thinking of more questions about the healing... I guess I will just wait for the video.

Thanks

I think both the combat and skills/healing videos are brilliant. I have linked them to my games and directed my players to go sample them, particularly to new players who are learning the simplicity and elegance of 5e design.  I hope you'll make more, probaly on encounter building for DM's and Lair actions.
