| #1GregZXDec 28, 2014 14:14:58 | Hey guys, |
| #2DM_HEEGZDec 29, 2014 5:59:27 | There was this:
So not an absolute no, but I don't expect any translations any time soon. |
| #3GregZXDec 29, 2014 8:46:50 | Hey Heegz,
Thanks for the answer!

| #4ThalamusMar 05, 2015 10:41:13 | Any News on this by Wizards?
I am able to read the English Books, but on the long run it is no option for me to play a RPG which is not translated to German. When I start to play with my Kids I had to go back to 3rd Edition for them to be able to read some stuff about it.
I hoped Wizards just wanted to get the Initial-Sales of D&D 5 directly into their pocket, but in the meantime I´m in doubt that there will be a German D&D 5. This would be an evidence of incapacity to the - once upon a time - Greatest RPG in the World.
I really would like to hear an official Statement ´bout this Topic.

I actually find it a bit surprising that others would want the books translated to their own language, though I can understand it in the case of children. |
| #6abs1nthMar 06, 2015 4:36:46 | I already PMed Thalamus but in case some other German finds this thread: I translated the character sheet and the adventuring gear into German. The archive has the original photoshop file that you can modify directly if you have a compatible program and a JPG for printing.

| #7ZardnaarMar 07, 2015 13:11:43 | I heard paizo has been cleaning up in europe because they have translated the books into german spanish and french. |
| #8LuisCarlos17fMar 09, 2015 10:46:36 | Pathfinder rpg was translated to Spanish languanged, by Devir, the same company that translated D&D from 3rd Ed. But I haven´t more Spanish new Pathfinder books since lot of time.
Another languanges are smaller markets. You can´t publish all English books because you will not sell the same numbre.
Oh my god. Do you know? Newerwinters online has different languanges, but not Spanish languange.. why? Maybe Spanish-speaker players aren´t good clients.

| #10Brock_LandersMar 09, 2015 12:02:45 | Seems Italian would be a good choice, seem to have a seriously active player base in Italy. |

| #12LuisCarlos17fMar 09, 2015 14:27:43 | D&D needs new players, and the youngest new generation of no-American D&D fans can´t speak English yet, not enough well. Why would I buy a English languange rpg when I can buy another rpg by another company but published in my naive languange?
* What if WotC hires its own translators? |

| #17ChrisCarlsonMar 09, 2015 16:13:58 | Seriously? I do get it. And I feel you pain. I hope WotC gets around to publishing in as many languages as possible.
That's only a good thing for the RPG industry as a whole, IMO. And good for all you sad, non-English speakers out there.
Of course, if you'd just learn fluent english, this wouldn't be a problem, now would it?
Reminds me of a joke:
What do you can someone who speaks two languages? Bilingual. What do you call someone who speaks multiple languages? A polyglot. What do you call someone who speaks only one language? American. |
